In today’s world, many people chase fame and power as symbols of success. While influence and leadership can be positive when used well, fighting over fame or power often brings more harm than good. Let’s reflect on why it is wiser to avoid such struggles.
1. Fame and power are temporary
Fame fades, and power changes hands. What people applaud today may be forgotten tomorrow. Building your life on something so unstable can lead to disappointment and regret.
2. It destroys peace and relationships
Struggles for power often create jealousy, bitterness, and division. Friendships, families, and communities can be broken when personal ambition becomes more important than unity and love.
3. It leads to pride and loss of humility
The fight for recognition can make people arrogant, causing them to look down on others. Pride blinds us from learning, growing, and appreciating the value of those around us.
4. It shifts focus from purpose to competition
Instead of discovering and fulfilling our true purpose, we become obsessed with outshining others. Life becomes a race rather than a meaningful journey of impact and service.
5. It encourages unhealthy choices
The hunger for fame or power can push people to lie, manipulate, or harm others just to stay relevant. In the end, success gained this way often leaves the heart empty.
6. True greatness is found in service, not status
Lasting influence comes from character, kindness, and service to others. People are remembered more for how they helped, loved, and inspired—not for titles or applause.

In your opinion, how can we pursue success and leadership without falling into the trap of fighting over fame or power?

Key Health Message for New Mothers

1. A healthy newborn does not need routine drugs
If a baby is:
Born at term
Crying well
Feeding well
No signs of infection or illness
👉 There is no medical reason to start drugs like antibiotics, cough syrups, multivitamins, or herbal mixtures.
Newborns have immature organs (especially the liver and kidneys). Giving unnecessary drugs can:
Overwork these organs
Cause drug toxicity
Lead to allergic reactions
Disrupt the baby’s natural gut bacteria

2. What is normal after birth (and often misunderstood)
Some things are medically recommended and should not be confused with “routine drugs”:

Vitamin K injection – prevents bleeding disorders and this is given by an health care provider.

Eye prophylaxis (in some settings) – prevents eye infection.

Vaccines (BCG, OPV, Hep B) – disease prevention
These are preventive, not treatment drugs, and are given according to national or WHO guidelines.

3. Why some mothers give drugs anyway
This practice is common due to:
Cultural beliefs (“a baby must take something”) and this is
Advice from non-professionals Fear of unseen illness Past experiences or family pressure It is usually done with good intentions, not negligence—but it still needs correction.

4. Risks of unnecessary medication in newborns
Antibiotic resistance Masking real illness Stomach upset and diarrhea Long-term impact on immunity

A healthy baby’s best medicine is:
Exclusive breastfeeding Warmth Clean environment Love and bonding ❤️

Bangalore soup is a popular Nigerian street food, especially loved in the eastern and southern parts of the country. Despite the name, it’s not from India—Bangalore is a nickname given to it locally.
It is a thick, spicy, and hearty soup made mainly from crayfish, pepper, palm oil, and assorted meats or fish, often including cow skin (kpomo), beef, or stockfish. Some versions also include onions, seasoning cubes, and sometimes local spices to boost flavor.
What makes Bangalore soup special is its bold aroma and intense taste—rich, peppery, and deeply savory. It’s usually served hot, commonly eaten with white rice, swallow, or even bread, and sometimes enjoyed late in the evening as a quick, filling meal.
In short, Bangalore soup is known for being:
Very flavorful and spicy 🌶️
Thick and satisfying
Affordable and filling
A favorite comfort and street food
It’s simple, rustic, and loved for its strong taste and warmth.

🎄 A Christmas Story: Clean Hands, Joyful Hearts 🧼✨
It was Christmas morning in the small town of Harmony. The air was filled with laughter, the smell of jollof rice, and the sound of carols drifting from every home. Families were visiting, children were running around excitedly, and food was being shared freely—just as Christmas should be.
In one house lived Mama Grace, known by everyone as the woman who always said, “Cleanliness is part of godliness.” Before anyone touched the food, she gently reminded them to wash their hands. Some laughed and said, “Mama Grace, it’s Christmas—let us enjoy!” But she smiled and replied, “Yes, let us enjoy… and stay healthy too.”
Two days later, news spread that some families who ignored basic hygiene fell ill with stomach infections and fever. Their celebrations turned into hospital visits, and the joy of Christmas faded into discomfort. Mama Grace’s home, however, remained full of laughter and good health.
The children later understood the lesson: Christmas joy is sweetest when everyone is healthy. Clean hands, clean food, clean surroundings, and safe water protect families from sickness—especially during festive periods when we share more, travel more, and gather more.
That Christmas, the town of Harmony learned an important truth: hygiene is not a restriction to celebration; it is the protection of joy.
🎄🩺 This Christmas and beyond, let’s choose hygiene—because a healthy family is the greatest celebration of all.
