*Psalm 37: More Than Enough*

Psalm 37:18-19 Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough.

When God is your provider, always make room for more than enough. God does not just satisfy our needs, He exceeds them. He does exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or even imagine. There are historical antecedents to God's excessive supply. When the Israelites were hungry in the wilderness, He fed them with manna and quials that were more than enough to satisfy their daily needs. When the Israelites were thirsty in the wilderness and found the bitter water, the Lord made their water fit for drinking, and immediately after that, He led them to 12 springs of water.

When Jesus taught the multitudes, he observed that they have spent enough time with him and it would be unfair to send them away without ministering to their welfare needs. However, there were no enough resources to satisfy the needs of the multitudes. A little boy's lunch was placed in the hands of Jesus, and he fed the multitudes to their satisfaction. When the leftovers were gathered, there were 12 baskets full. This same miracle was repeated in another account where Jesus fed four thousand men.

The Psalmist says: "Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough." When God is your daily provider, even in the face of famine, your provision is already guaranteed. God knows how to command the resources of the earth to your advantage. He knows where the earth cannot drink up the water. He knows where to plant and water you such that you will never wither nor die.

In Psalm 1:3, the Psalmist says the righteous is like a tree that is planted by rivers of waters. The need of a plant for survival is just water. For God to plant the righteous by the rivers of waters indicate His more than enough provision to sustain the righteous. As you arise this day, break that limitation mentality that you have developed. God is your provider and He is providing for you in more than enough measures. When others talk of limitations and famine, lean on God's provision of more than enough. You will experience more than enough provision in Jesus' name, Amen.

*Confession:* I operate on the blessings of more than enough. When others are experiencing famine, God will grant me an abounding supply. When others are experiencing drought, God will plant me by the rivers of many waters. I will keep prospering and abounding because God has pronounced His more than enough provision on me and my family. Thank You Father, Hallelujah.

*As we begin this glorious year 2026, it is my prayer that you will abound graciously in the provisions that God has reserved for you. Have a Psalmspired and Psalmsplified 2026. Happy New Year*

*Psalm 37: Daily Care*

Psalm 37:17-18 For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly. Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever.

It is a waste of the moment to live in anxiety about tomorrow. God is committed to your day to day care. Jesus taught us in our Lord's prayer: give us this day our daily bread. But many of us have turned the line of the prayer to: give us these days our bread. We keep heaping the worries, fears and anxieties of tomorrow on today and suffer from panic attacks without realizing that God is committed to our daily care. God knows what you need and he is interested in supplying your needs and not your wants.

The Psalmist says, day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent. The daily needs of the innocent includes; first protection. The guilty ones always look upon the innocent with rage and bitterness that is targeted at consuming them. The important need of the innocent is supernatural protection. Without God's day by day protection, the innocent will be trampled out of life. God satisfies the daily protective care over the innocent and ensure that their lives are preserved from the forces of destruction.

Secondly, the day by day care of the Lord over the innocent is demonstrated in His provision. God will provide for the innocent and satisfy his hunger and thirst. This is because, the greedy and the wicked people of the world will do whatever it takes to cut off or cut short the provision that are meant for the innocent. This is why it is fondly said these days that the patient dog no longer get a share of the bone. This is because, the greedy nature of the wicked has robbed the innocent of her daily provision of nourishment.

God knows the daily needs of the innocent and He is committed to satisfying them. When Hagar and Ishmael were thirsty in the wilderness, God opened her eyes to see the spring just beside her. When Elijah was running away from Jezebel and found himself hiding in the cave, God used the raven to made supply of his daily nourishment. When the Israelites were in the wilderness, God daily satisfied their hunger with manna and quail. Don't be anxious about your next move or meal. Day by day, God got all your cares and needs covered. Look up to Him in faith and and be thankful for the provisions that He has given already. You are under His watch. He will satisfy your daily care. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, I refuse to be anxious about what tomorrow holds. I know you are committed to my day to day care. With thanks in my heart, I receive my daily dose of perfect protection and security. With gratitude in my soul, I receive my daily provision of nourishment. I am grateful because I have a God who satisfies me day by day. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Godly Contentment (2)*

Psalm 37:16 It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich.

Being a minister in this generation has so many challenges. One of such challenges is addressing the bane of materialism. This is a generation that believes that being rich is a sign of godliness and poverty is a sign of godlessness. When you are rich, you are automatically called a successful Christian. It is like you have gained God's approval to make and control wealth. As long as you are making it financially, you are now the son of Abraham even if your means of making it are dubious and questionable. When you have a little, they look at you like a man of little faith.

This wrong ideology has gained popularity such that it has also influenced people's choice in place of worship. When you see a gathering where there is a wonderful architecture, quality sound, nice interiors, beautiful designs, powerful lighting and media, we automatically conclude that, this is the Church of Jesus Christ. When we see a gathering where there are no sophisticated set ups, sounds and others, we conclude that this cannot be the true Church of God. Infact, a Pastor that live luxurious life is considered to be the genuine man of God while the other that is sincere with his financial status is looked down on as an infidel. O! what a time to promote falsehood.

I will never promote poverty as a spiritual virtue neither will I promote wealth as a godly virtue. What godliness entails is contentment with what God has given to you this moment. When you are discontented, you become greedy and compromising. This is what will make many people to put their hands in muddy waters just to make financial gains at the detriment of their souls. There are many souls today that are evil and rich. The truth is, you can't have a part in the Church of Christ Jesus, for God cannot be mocked.

This Psalm must have burst some balloons of falsehood in your soul. This is what the Psalmist says: "It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich." I heard a young man who has been brainwashed by false teachings, fall into this error. He was into evil means of getting money. When I asked him, how does he feel about his source of livelihood, he sounded satisfied with his means because in his heart, he was donating to the church and the work of God. What an error. God does not acknowledge your evil money. It is only a pure and a contrite heart that the Lord will not despise. Be contented with what God has blessed you with. Stay away from the evil syndrome of get-rich-quick. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, this day I ask for a contrite heart that is fully yielded to you. Please Lord, don't let me be a religious pun. Deliver me from the falsehood that has covered the Church of the age. Teach me to know and understand the virtue called contentment. Help me to live satisfactorily with what you have blessed me with. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Godly Contentment*

Psalm 37:16 It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich.

One of the markers of godliness is contentment. You cannot be godly and greedy at the same time. This is because, greed is the architect of unimaginable evils in the world. We live in a generation where greed has become a celebrated way of life. Many lives have been obsessed by the spirit of possessiveness. People have become so desperate that they are ready to do anything just to make it financially. The spread in this immoral way of life has drifted away many promising kingdom youths into the worship of Mormon.

I have seen many young who are so desperate about wealth such that they can sacrifice anybody just to make it financially. There are so many stories about the atrocities of ritualists. These people specialize in organ harvest for making fe**sh sacrifices just to attract wealth. Many pregnant women and innocent babies have fallen prey to these ritualists. The act is such a dastard evil in the sense that in the quest of wealth, precious lives are lost. In the heart of these ritualists, as long as their evil money keeps flowing, they don't care about anything else.

This evil is eating deep into the fibers of the society such that many people are drifting away from the church because of their quest for get-rich-quick syndrome. I have also heard about the crave for evil wealth, such that the young man was willing to exchange his life just to gain some financial wealth for a few years. I have heard a greedy young man say, it is better to make money and live in affluence for one year than to live in poverty for ten years. Hence they patronize anything evil just to make more evil money.

The Psalmist is preaching a simple message to this generation. Against the backdrop of what you have heard about getting rich fast, it is far better to be godly and have a little than being evil and rich. There are no two ways about it. The Bible has declared it and it stands as an operating principle. Even if almost everybody is going after greed and evil money, O Psalmsplified believers, choose to maintain your path of godly wealth. Don't let the wealth of sinners entice you. A little in your hands is worth more in value than the wealth of the heathen. Always remember that godliness with contentment is a great gain because we brought nothing into this world and we are going to leave empty. May the Lord grant us the understanding to embrace this truth in Jesus name, Amen.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, teach me the satisfaction that can only be achieved through godliness. Let the yoke and burden of greed be released out of my life. Don't let me yield to the enticing nature of greed. May I always remember that godliness with contentment is great gain. Any satisfaction that is without Christ Jesus, may I never settle for it. Thank you Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Back To Sender (2)*

Psalm 37:14-15 The wicked draw their swords and string their bows to kill the poor and the oppressed, to slaughter those who do right. But their swords will stab their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

The golden rule says: do unto others what you want others to do to you. In a reversed form, it says: do not do to others what you know you cannot bear. Whenever you plot something evil against another person, always think about it, if it is reversed to you. Many people don't observe such a second thought before embarking on an evil plot. Many wicked people can not even bear up to half of the wickedness that they plot for others.

When Goliath was raising his boast against the Israelites, he was confident of the fact that he can unleash his terror against them and destroy them. The weapons of Goliath were so emphatic such that each of his armour was described with emphasis. Specially, his sword which typifies his weapon of attack was very massive and sharp. At the end of Goliath's life, it was his own sword that was used by David to rip off his head from his body.

When it comes to back to sender deliverance, you will see the mysterious ways by which God acts to deliver His children. I watched a video online where two friends were sharing a drink using glass cups. The other friend never knew that his friend was seeking for an opportunity to eliminate him. While they were sharing the drink he had the privilege of talking to someone on the phone. While his attention was divided via the phone conversation, the other friend quickly added some poison to his glass of drink.

When his attention was returned after the call, he was totally unaware of the wicked plot of his friend. All of a sudden, as the friend was about to take his next sip, he was choked. His own glass of juice slip off his hands and splashed to the floor. In order to quell the choke sensation, the friend hurriedly handed over to him the poisoned glass and he hurriedly drank his own poison unknownkingly. After gulping down the drink, that was when he realized that he has taken the drink that he poisoned.

God is still overturning the plot of the wicked. God is still working out back to sender miracles. I have seen a man who hated his coworker and manipulated all that he could to ensure that the coworker lost his job. After all said and done, he became the one who lost his job while the coworker has been enjoying his promotions at the place of work. When the enemies sharpen their swords against you, don't panic, don't fear. God will send it back to their senders. You will enjoy God's protection and care. Shalom.

*Confession:* I serve the God who does back to sender deliverances for his children. Whatever evil that is fashioned against me and my family will surely reverse back to the Sender without fail. All those who dig the pit of failure and death around me will end up in the same pit that they have dug. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Back To Sender*

Psalm 37:14-15 The wicked draw their swords and string their bows to kill the poor and the oppressed, to slaughter those who do right. But their swords will stab their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

Have you ever been in a gathering where someone will share testimony that reflect back to sender deliverance, and sometimes, it will just sound like a fiction in your ears. There are times when we offer some back to sender prayers in the church and some persons will think that it is just a mere jamboree. The truth is that as far as the scriptures cannot be broken, God works back to sender deliverances for his children at different times and seasons. The fall and death of Haman was a clear demonstration of a back to sender deliverance for Modecai and the Jews.

There was a story of a wicked sorcerer who was bent on destroying so many lives. The antecedents of his wicked deeds were numerous especially against the upright. One day, he was preparing his instruments of havoc to destroy an innocent family. The wife came to him and said I have a feeling that this your charm against this family will be regrettable. He looked at the wife and boasted that for years he has had a track record of successful deliveries of wickedness without failure.

As he had concluded the process of the charms preparation, it was time to launch. As he launched the charms immediately there was a great flash that regurgitated the charms and all of a sudden the room was filled with a great thick smoke. He gave out a loud scream. The wife came in and saw him roasted and boiled with smokes coming out of his body. Without much struggle, he died instantaneously. What he had prepared to roast up another life and family, fired back at him and roasted him out of life.

The Psalmist declares: "The wicked draw their swords and string their bows to kill the poor and the oppressed, to slaughter those who do right. But their swords will stab their own hearts, and their bows will be broken." Today, I declare a back to sender deliverance in your life and family. Any sword that has been sharpened to stab you will stab the orchestrator. Any bow and arrow that has been stretched to be fired against you will go back to the sender. The Lord who preserves the elect will preserve you and your family from the plans of the wicked. The plans of the wicked against you will go back to them. Shalom.

*Confession:* God is working back to sender deliverances in my life and family. You fire your weapons against me, it will go back to you. You try to stab me with your sword, the Lord will take the sword back to you. You try to pull me down, you will go down. You try to block my way, your life will be blocked. I serve a God who does back to sender. Hallelujah.

*Psalm 37: Coming Judgement*

Psalm 37:12-13 The wicked plot against the godly; they snarl at them in defiance. But the Lord just laughs, for he sees their day of judgment coming.

The wicked will always set plots against the godly. Whenever a wicked soul seeks the favour from the righteous, the righteous must be wise enough to guide himself because most of the times, such favours are plots for evils. The request might look innocent, attractive and beneficial but if one is not careful, he might end up being trapped because he couldn't see the plot behind the request. When a wicked is being benevolent to the poor, there might be a plot for exploitation and molestation of the poor.

The wicked thinks he is smart whenever he develops a plot on how to enslave the righteous. Have you ever tried to eliminate some rodents that are roaming in your house? The first idea is to develop a plot on how to effectively use a substance that can be poisonous to such rodents. The poisonous substance is added to a delicacy that entices the rats. Then it is placed in a location that is easily accessible to the rats. Whenever the plot is concluded and the rodents feasts on such stuffs, the purpose is achieved.

The Lord sees every intention behind any plot of the wicked. The Lord sees the end from the beginning. He sees into the intents of every heart. He knows what the wicked intends to achieve with their wicked plots. And in their foolishness, the Lord looks at them and laughs. This is because what men call wisdom is a total display of foolishness before God. The Lord knows that the judgement of such people is coming. He laughs at their folly. He laughs at their destruction. He laughs at their coming judgement.

Remind every wicked plotter today that judgement is coming. The fact that he succeeded in his last plot does not mean that God is blind. God sees every of his move and laughs at his folly. God is bringing His judgement upon him. And when God judges, His justice will surely reign. In the court of God, no wicked shall be vilified, and there will be no appeal. Judgement is coming. The window for mercy and repentance is gradually shutting against the wicked. Obtain mercy and repentance while it is still active. When judgement comes, no sinner shall stand. Think about this and be wise in all your ways. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, look upon the plot of the wicked concerning me and laugh them to scorn. Don't allow their wicked plots to stand in my life. Don't allow me to fall into their wicked plots. No matter how enticing, promising and beneficial their wicked plots are, don't let me patronize them. Let your judgement come upon the wicked. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Mark Them*

Psalm 37:9-11 For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land. Soon the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone. The lowly will possess the land and will live in peace and prosperity.

There are signs and symptoms that are manifested by any group or something in order to be identified. There are manifestations that are presented for one to know a wicked person and also a righteous man. These manifestations are so evidential such that one can clearly distinguish between the both. The wicked being can be marked with their peculiar features. The righteous man can also be marked with his works of righteousness. This is why a righteous man cannot be called a wicked being and vice versa because their marks are exclusively different.

The very first sign of wickedness is to be unregenerated. The wicked being is one who has not acknowledged the salvation that is found in Christ Jesus. Hence, he can not live a surrendered life to the cross of Christ. He only live to gratify the desires and lusts of the flesh without undermining the consequences of his actions. A righteous man is a man that has surrendered his will and being to the cross of Christ. He lives daily under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Because he is righteous, he seeks to do what is right in the eyes of God and men. He lives with the consciousness of eternity.

The Psalmist declares that the righteous and the wicked should be marked. Mark them by the way they live. Mark them by the way they speak and boast. Mark them by their choices, preferences and decisions. Mark them by the fruit they bear. And most importantly, Mark them by the way their life will end. The Psalmist says: For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land. Soon the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone. The lowly will possess the land and will live in peace and prosperity.

What is your mark? If you are being marked by the manifestation you present, how will you be classified? If you are being marked by your utterances, what will be the conclusion of your category? If you are being marked at the end of your life on earth, will you be called wicked or righteous? Always remember that our lives on earth is like an examination. Whatever we do will be graded. As long as God is just, he will never vilify the wicked, otherwise the righteous will be shortchanged. The wicked cannot end in peace. This is a scriptural principle. The end of the wicked is calamity and destruction. Let the righteous maintain the path of righteousness. Only the righteous will inherit the earth. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, I remove the marks of wickedness away from my life. I reject every symptom of wickedness that is exemplified in me. May the words of my mouth, the meditation of my heart and the action of my hands not be connected with wickedness. Let the marks of righteousness cover my body and soul. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Refrain From Anger (2)*

Psalms 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.

Developing anger and wrath management skills is very important in life. Any action one takes during anger is usually referred to as provocated action. It is an action that is characterized with violence. That is the reason why people will always be advised to stay away from action during anger because such actions are full of violence and regrettable. There are also many people who will act in anger and they will do what they never imagined. Many people have killed, destroyed valuable properties, harm themselves, etc just because they were angry. Anger intoxicates the mind just like strong alcohol. Hence, when angry, try to restrain yourself.

The Bible warns against being angry because it is one of the easiest ways to fall into sin. The very first child to be born by man on earth lived a cursed life because he couldn't manage his anger and wrath against his innocent brother. Cain became angry when the Lord had no respect for his sacrifice. Instead of him to direct his anger into his life by repenting and doing the right thing, he vented his anger on his brother whose sacrifice was accepted. His uncontrolled anger led him to murder his innocent brother and the Lord pronounced some curses upon his life.

Moses was a man of high temperament and anger. He was a tough leader. Moses went up to Mount Sinai to have fellowship with God. This was not the usual kind of praying on the mountain because he came down with a tablet containing the decalogue. But on his return, Aaron has led the Israelites into the worship of a calf. When Moses saw this, he became triggered with anger and rage. He took the sacred tablet containing the decalogue and smashed it on the hard rock and it became shattered. A tablet that was produced from a 40 days communion with God was shattered in just some few seconds of anger.

The Psalmist is giving us a wise counsel this day to stay away from anger because harm usually comes out of it. Look intently into your life and take the estimate of what you have achieved with anger. Also take a critical look into your life and take note of what you have lost due to anger. The result will provide you with your informed decision. Refrain yourself from anger. When you are angry don't act. When you are angry don't speak. Look for the best strategy that works for your anger management. It will help you to avoid danger and harm in life. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, this day show me how to live in the face of provocation. Don't let wrath and anger control my life. Don't let me speak despicable utterances in my moment of anger. Refrain me from destructive thoughts and acts in anger. Holy Spirit, I subject my life under your control. Lead me in acts that will keep me away from danger. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Refrain From Anger (3)*

Psalms 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.

Anger intoxicates the mind like strong wine which causes people to misbehave. When the soul is ravaged by anger, most people become uncontrollable. This is how the impact of anger has been felt in marriages, friendships, relationships and places of work. Many families have suffered from the harm done by anger. One moment of anger and wrath is enough to ruin many life's purposes. This is why it is neccessary to learn and inculcate the habit of refraining from anger. There are many strategies to be considered when refraining from anger and wrath.

First strategy is to allow the Holy Spirit to guide and manage your temperament. Every human has temperament which must be Spirit controlled for it to be beneficial. Secondly, is to work on your interpretation about the way you respond to people's insult. You can only be triggered into anger by what you have interpreted to induce anger. When you don't interpret people's actions against you as a catalyst for anger, then you won't get angry. Thirdly, you must create allowances for others in your mind. Make room to accommodate people's offences and insults without being angered.

Fourthly, look for an activity that can make you get even instead of being mad with anger. Some people will simply take a drink or gaggle with water. Some will play good music to refresh their souls just to quell the building anger. Some will read their Bible or any other godly book just to distract their mind from conceiving anger. Some will burst into joyful singing and laughter just to brighten and lighten their heavy mood. Some will pray. While others can decide to refrain from speaking at such moments and go into their closet to observe some rest.

Fifthly, when you are being triggered to get angry, you can simply walk away from such environment. It will bring a lot of peace into your life. Many damages would have been avoided if only someone had decided to walk away from the angry scene. One most note that walking away from the appearances of triggers of anger is not weakness, but a control strategy. It is better to walk away and avoid many harms than to act stupidly under the influence of anger with loads of consequences. Know the strategy that works best for you. Don't forget to apply it in the face of anger. It will be beneficial and health to your soul. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, open my mind to know the best way to manage and refrain from triggers of anger in my life. Grant me the courage and wisdom to know when to walk away from an environment that is intoxicating my mind with wrath and anger. Don't let me yield my body and soul to the triggers of anger. Deliver me from the harm that is induced by anger. Thank You Father, Amen.

*Psalm 37: Refrain From Anger*

Psalms 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.

In all your desires to become a master of something, desire to be a master to Anger and wrath. Until you have developed and evolved in the art of anger management, then you are matured in the Christian faith. There are many born again, Holy Spirit filled believers who are still struggling with anger management. It is even worse when the person in question is a minister. I have seen many ministers flare up during worship services. I have seen a burning and fiery lit in the faces of some ministers in response to some provocation. I have seen a minister smash the microphone and walk off the stage just because he was angry with someone's misbehaviour.

I grew up with some kind of fiery temperament. I could be so calm and loving, but I can also become red hot when angered. I started learning about anger management when I observed that many people could refrain themselves from being angered no matter the provocation. I still recall vividly an incident that occurred. A group of businessmen and women were going for a job. Two of the women spoke sarcastically to one of the men. It was so offensive that I was getting infuriated. To my greatest amazement, the man did nothing. He just shrugged off their remarks and kept on talking with them with a nice tone.

I said to myself, this could probably not be me. But deep in my heart, it was like, this can also be you. You can hear people talk offensively and abusively to you without being filled with anger, rage and wrath. There is a revelation and expression of God's presence in you and around you when you don't loose yourself to anger. There is also a beauty that is expressed by you when you act even against the expectation of the people to see you odd and infuriated. Those who have mastered the control of anger are always admired by all.

The Psalmist declares that: Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. Anger is only a letter short from danger. When you are always angry and full of rage, you are easily prone to danger. Most accidents occur because of anger. Most sicknesses are escalated due to anger. Most destructive works are sponsored by anger. And ultimately, most self inflicted emotional trauma are caused by resident anger. Refrain from Anger. Don't allow anger to live rent free in your mind. It will only consume you with its fire. Master your anger today and be free from its wrath. Shalom.

*Prayer:* Precious Father, I receive the grace to refrain from Anger, rage and wrath. Help me to manage situations that are targeted to trigger anger in me. Help me to control my tongue by speaking words that can quell the stench of anger and wrath. May I never be known as a man or woman of anger. Thank You Father, Amen.
