UUTH 5TH Board meeting ends with the inauguration of renovated Surgical Wards.
The projects, which are a collaborative effort of UUTH and Umanah’s family, are in memory of a late Consultant Histopathologist, Dr. Ivy Umanah who died in 2017.
The Board Chairman , Senator Salihu Egye thanked the family for the special intervention in the hospital and urged others to emulate them.
Senator Egye, alongside other members, had earlier inspected other projects and inaugurated some.
He was later seen off by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Emem Bassey.

FREE CARDIAC TEST FOR CHILDREN ENDS AT UUTH

Over 200 children have been attended to at the just concluded Cardiac Examination exercise by the Delta Afrique Foundation in collaboration with the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
Declaring the exercise close, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ememabasi Bassey expressed gratitude to the facilitators for coming to partner with the hospital. He appealed to the Press, NGOs, Government and other individual to help create awareness on the issue to save the future of children.
