Let your kids know what you do for a living. It’s part of who you are, and it becomes part of their story, too. Even if they don’t choose the same career, it’s still nice for them to understand the basics of your work and how it’s done. Perhaps it might even influence the direction they take in life.

With the rising cases of kidney disease among young people, even those who neither drink nor smoke. it is becoming clear that our daily habits and food choices need closer attention.

From reports of pesticides used for food preservation to chemicals used to artificially ripen fruits, and the flood of creams and body sprays in the market, coupled with the increasing use of plastics and polythene in food packaging, we must be cautious.

Let’s be more intentional; know your source, read labels, ask questions, when sourcing what we eat and use. What often call “old age sickness” is usually the result of how we lived when we were young.

It is highly unethical for healthcare practitioners to intentionally diagnose an imaginary or non-existent condition simply to exploit patients financially. Even more concerning is when healthcare practitioners become upset or defensive when patients request clear explanations for recommended investigations or procedures. Transparency and honesty should always remain at the core of medical practice.

A gentle reminder:

Maintaining a healthy weight has many benefits, not just for yourself, but also for those who care for you. It makes mobility and daily care much easier, especially in times of illness.

In many healthcare settings, it is common to see relatives of overweight patients looking completely exhausted, as they struggle to assist their loved ones. Caregivers, too, often end up physically and emotionally drained from the extra effort required.

It is a clear reminder that maintaining a healthy weight can ease life, both for you and for those who may one day care for you.

While genetics may play a role in body size, be intentional about your health.

Not every stomach pain is caused by an ulcer!
Sometimes, certain foods can irritate your stomach or bowels, leading to temporary discomfort that often resolves on its own or with mild over the counter medication.

However, stomach pain can also signal something more serious. It might be a symptom of an underlying condition radiating to other areas.

Self medicating or using a friend’s prescription just because you share similar symptoms can be risky. What may seem like a simple ulcer could be something entirely different or just a lifestyle issue that needs a small adjustment.

Always test before you treat.
Your health deserves proper diagnosis, not assumptions.

There’s no such thing as an “abnormal delivery.” A baby born through Caesarean Section (CS) is just as much a normal birth as one born vaginally.

In fact, I've met women who choose CS even without medical risks, sometimes to pick a special birth date, or simply to skip the stress of pushing.

So, the idea that CS is somehow “less normal” is a total misconception, coming more from a religious point of view. At the end of the day, what matters is a safe mom, and a safe baby.

💡Why Are More Young People Getting Strokes?

It’s Not Just an "Old People" Disease Anymore.

Within a month alone I've lost count of young people who presented with clinical signs of stroke.
From history the possible causes are, but not limited to:

🔹 1. High Blood Pressure (Even Undiagnosed)

You can be 25 and still have high blood pressure — especially if you’re always stressed, eat salty foods, or don’t exercise.
Most people don’t even know they have it, until something serious happens, like a stroke.

🔹 2. Birth Control Pills + Smoking

Taking birth control? That alone slightly increases your risk of blood clots.
Now add smoking to the mix? It’s like pouring fuel on a fire.
Clots = blocked blood flow = stroke risk.

🔹 3. Poor Diet & Lack of Sleep

Junk food + little sleep
Your body runs on nutrients and rest. When it’s constantly deprived, your blood vessels suffer. Inflammation rises.
And stroke becomes more likely — even in your 20s.

🔹 4. Stress & Energy Drink Overload

Side hustles, family pressure. And then you’re downing 2 energy drinks a day to stay awake?
High stress and caffeine spike your blood pressure and heart rate — a combo that wears your body down fast.
➡️ Rest is not a luxury. It’s survival.

🎯 Bottom Line:

You don’t need to be old, overweight, or smoking a pack a day to be at risk.

Even if you "look fine" on the outside, your blood vessels and brain might be saying otherwise.

Healthy lifestyle and routine checks will save you a lot.

Health is wealth!

💡Why Life Expectancy in Nigeria Is Dropping

We bury people too early in this country, and many of us have accepted it as normal.

A man dies at 70. “He tried.” and we call it a celebration of life.
A woman collapses at 64. “It’s stress.”
Someone slumps in traffic or at work, and we move on like it’s routine.

But it’s not normal.

I once met a 42-year-old man. Never drank, never smoked. Just always busy hustling for his family. Morning, off to work, 8 pm, he's back.
One day, he felt weak and dizzy.
We ran a few tests.

Multiple kidney stones. Busy treating ulcer.
His blood pressure? Through the roof.

This is the hidden crisis in Nigeria.

We work ourselves to the grave.
We treat symptoms with herbs or paracetamol.
⏳ We wait too long before getting help sometimes until it’s too late.

We die silently from:

High blood pressure

Kidney disease

Diabetes

Fake drugs

Stress, fatigue, and poor nutrition

And the worst part? Many don’t even know they’re sick.

We say ",God forbid" but we don't check our vitals.
We believe in prayer but ignore prevention.

🩺 Prevention is cheaper than treatment.
Just one checkup can change your life.

Our grandparents lived more than 100yrs and were still agile, walking with their feet.

What has gone wrong?

💡Why are so many young people ending up with kidney problems?

Just recently, a young lady only 28 years old was referred for an ultrasound scan because she had been experiencing general body discomfort. She looked healthy and had no obvious risk factors.

But I discovered she had
Grade 3 kidney disease at just 28.

Since then, I’ve been following her journey closely as she now undergoes dialysis (once a week). It's been an emotional experience watching someone so young and vibrant battle such a serious condition.

I have seen more and more of these silent kidney cases, especially among young people who never imagined their kidneys could fail.

This is not to scare you, it's to inform you:
Kidney disease doesn’t always come with loud symptoms.
Please don’t ignore that persistent discomfort. Sometimes, it's more than just “stress”, it could be something more.

Your kidneys are happier when you take more water.

Why Some Slim People Eat More Than Fat People – The Untold Truth”

"She dey chop like lion, but still slim like broom!"

So what’s really going on? 🤔
Google might say “fast metabolism.”
But let’s dig deeper

Here’s the truth:

●Body type matters – Some people are naturally ectomorphs (lean build, fast metabolism).
● Activity level counts; The slim one might fidget, move more, or walk everywhere without realizing.
●Hormones play a role – Insulin resistance, thyroid issues, and PCOS can make fat loss harder.
●Genetics too – It’s not just what you eat, but how your body processes it.

📍So yes – some slim people eat more, but burn faster.
While others eat less, but store more.

Gene, health history is a determining factor!

💡Most Men Are Shôôting Blanks❗️ 🧪🔫

You see him gym-fit, full beards, confidence on 💯
He looks like he can father a football team.
But when the test results comes out, boom 💥 nothing!
Just vibes and volume.

In my line of work, I’ve been opportuned to see a surprising number of young, seemingly healthy men with low or even zero speŕm count.
Yes, the sample looks “rich”, but under the microscope?
Low motility. Poor quality. No viable swimmers.😧

It’s becoming more common than we realize.
Stress, lifestyle habits like sitting for long, excessive heat exposure, proliferation of unverified supplements, poor diet, alcohøl, and even keeping phones in your front pocket — all may be contributing.

The scary part? Most of these men have no symptoms.
No pain. No warning. Nothing to suggest there’s a fertility issue.
Looks can be very deceiving. 😒

👉 Gentlemen, if you’re planning for a family now or in the future, don’t assume. Get checked.

⚠️A test called ̣ṣ̌emen analysis may save you some embårrassmenṭ. Early is better!

✅️Fertílíty is not just about women. Men need awareness, too.

You’ve been drinking that yellow tea for 3 weeks now.
No gym.
No jog.
Still eating swallow like tomorrow no dey.

💡 Let’s be honest:
Lipton and ginger can help digestion, maybe boost metabolism a tiny bit.

Add movement, reduce late night feeding, drink water, rest well.
