Hoe het brain je discipline in de weg kan zitten.. of is het misschien juist het gebrek aan herstel dat vraagt om iets minder om vervolgens te gaan bewegen?

Veel stof te bespreken met z’n drieën!

“Je moet gewoon wat meer bewegen.” Dat advies krijgen veel vrouwen in de perimenopauze, maar helaas is het geen magische oplossing.

Want als je zenuwstelsel continu ‘aan’ staat, kun je niet herstellen met nóg meer prikkels.
Dan heeft je lichaam iets anders nodig: veiligheid, rust, herstel.

Je stress, hormonen, ademhaling en autonome zenuwstelsel zijn namelijk met elkaar verweven.

En met name vrouwen in de overgangsperiode zijn extra kwetsbaar voor ontregeling.

Je bent bang om achterstand op te lopen, dus je gaat door, door, door.
Het resultaat? Nog meer uitputting, verergerde burn-outklachten en een training die averechts werkt.
