There are many misconceptions out there about therapy, and they often stop people from getting the support they actually need.

Some think therapy is only for people with a diagnosis. Others believe it means you’re “broken” or “weak.” But none of that is true.

Two weeks ago, I had the honor of speaking at the It’s Complicated conference in Berlin on a panel about reclaiming the body in therapeutic healing.

Deep gratitude to my brilliant co-panelists Yulia, Claudia, and Ariane for the depth, honesty, and embodiment each of you brought to the conversation.

Together, we explored how somatic experiencing, yoga therapy, and compassionate inquiry support the healing of complex trauma.

This Sunday, I’ll be speaking at the It’s Complicated conference on a panel with incredible women, exploring embodiment, presence, and subversive approaches to therapy.

I’ll be sharing on reclaiming the body through somatic experiencing and yoga therapy, and how these practices support the healing of complex PTSD.

As a Latina-Caribbean psychotherapist living and working in Europe, I feel deeply honored to bring my voice, culture, and perspective into this space.
Healing is not only personal—it’s cultural, embodied, and relational.
