I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I looked into some mudra’s to support my physical healing.

This one I experience to be particularly helpful, combined with consuming a fair amount of fresh ginger, lemons and honey. My symptoms seem to be decreasing more rapidly.

Right hand
Thumb and ring finger together
Index finger on top of first thumb joint
Hold for 3 minutes
6 times a day
Minimum 2 minutes break in between

Been expanding my places of work and seeing the differences in atmosphere, still the effect of the massages I give seem to have the desired outcome.

Where my sessions in Amsterdam are called holistic massages in the massage studio in Weesp they are presented as stress relief/relaxation massage. It has a different ring to it and I notice for me also a different feel. And I enjoy experiencing both.

Feeling happy about this and these new experiences with different environments, clients and colleagues inspire me to become better at what I do.

Having felt that through, if you are looking for something a bit more private, therapeutical and spiritual, I would like to invite you to the practice in Amsterdam.

Looking forward to having you 🤍

And thank you Sterre ✨ for being the model for these amazing pictures, you are beautiful!

The first time I received a deep tissue massage was some years ago, and it was a painful, unpleasant experience! The masseur told me, that I was supposed to relax more 🤔

During my studies I learned, that a deep tissue massage should never be painful. A bit intense and sometimes a bit uncomfortable, but never unbearable. I loved it, the intensity, the depth, the slowness. How effective it is in opening the body. Tuning in with yourself and the person on the table to find the right depth of touch. Nothing like my first time experience.

Non doing is what is essential here. Allowing your body to make space for my technique. A very deep and slow way to touch and work with the muscles and connective tissue of your back, chest, shoulders and/or neck, according to what feels right for you. A way to possibly release deeper lying tensions in body, mind and heart.

Does this kind of deep bodywork speak to you? Please feel free to contact me for more information. Or visit my website to read about the benefits of a deep tissue massage.

I came in touch with Mudras and Traditional Chinese Medicine, around 10 years ago through a boyfriend who had been practicing since youth. I experienced these simple hand gestures to be effective in balancing myself on different levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. And this practice is so easy to implement in any kind of lifestyle.I thought it would be nice to share some of them here with you from time to time. Here is a Mudra to balance the metal element inside your body. It can be done with your left or right hand or both hands. While watching a movie, when riding the train or with no distractions as a solid meditation.Index finger in the thumb pit, thumb on the second ring finger joint on the side closest to the middle finger. Hold 5 minutesAt least 5 times a day1 minute distance in betweenThe natural courage to live is not about having the courage to do something or to act, but more about the courage to not do. It’s not about putting your head in the sand, it’s about witnessing and letting life play out the way it’s naturally supposed to play out. The courage to not interfere.
