❌ A cardiac arrest doesn’t wait for good weather. And neither should you.
Can you deploy an AED in the rain, snow, or near a swimming pool?
👉 Yes, if you follow the right steps.
🌧️ Rain or snow
Modern AEDs, like the Philips AEDs used by Pulse4all, are designed for real-life conditions.
Don’t let rain or snow stop you from acting.
Dry the chest as much as possible before placing the pads.
Make sure no one touches the victim during shock delivery.
🏊 Swimming pool or water
Never deploy an AED while someone is still in the water.
First, remove the person from the water.
Move them to the driest area nearby.
Dry the chest, then follow the AED’s voice instructions.
⚡ Why this matters
The shock travels only between the electrode pads.
Water on the chest can reduce effectiveness.
❗But wet conditions are not a reason to delay help.❗
Every second counts!
Rain, snow, or water... act fast and follow the AED.
