Start with this two tasks to work towards your goals 🎯

How often have you caught yourself saying "I dont have time"? Quite often right? 🫤

Truth is, we all have the same 24h a day, its just a matter of prioritizing whats important to us and creating space in our schedule 📔
Its easy do get caught up in the never ending to-do list of daily life and if we dont make time, time will be taken from us, something will always come up, there is just never the "perfect time"

Whenever someone new starts with their online program with me, they are given two simple tasks to start with as their daily practice:

☝🏻 Make time: set aside a specific time each day or week or delegate tasks to free up more time
✌🏻 Take a 5min action: do a very small action today that moves you towards your goals.

Surprised?? too simple?? expecting a "next level secret"? (spoiler: there isnt one🤫)

Practicing breaking stasks into small and manageable steps will make you realize that these are the tasks that make everything else possible, as well, these are poweful stress-management tools.

May I suggest YOU give this two steps a try and see how it goes?? 😀

YOUR BIG PICTURE!💭

No matter what our goal might be, the first step in achieving that goal is to have a big picture in mind.

Lots of times people get stucked or dont even start working towards achieving their goals as they are somehow "looking for motivation" 👀.
Well, in order to find that motivation we need to define what our super goal is, meaning, asking ourselfs what do we want to achieve? (this can be changed of course or it might evolve throughout our journey)

We will find our motivation by truly understanding the reason we want to reach our super goal. It is the deep meaningful "ultimate why" the driving force that helps us to work towards our goal every day, because believe it wont be easy every day, we will have days we ask ourself: why are we doing this?? and there is where our ultimate why comes into play! if we want it hard enough, we will have enough grit to get it done💪🏻🔥

I truly believe when we start throwing excuses in, we actually dont want it hard enough or it isnt that important to us after all, or maybe you simply didnt dig deep enough into your ultimate why.

It takes some self-reflection and we need to keep asking ourselfs: WHY?? until we got to the core of the truth ✨

So, lets ask ourselfs:
-> What is our super goal?
-> Why do we want to achieve that goal?
-> Why??
💥Your ultimate why will make us feel inspired & excited, willing to do whatever it takes, really💛

•PRINCIPLES OF GOOD NUTRITION

PART 1:
Weight changes comes down to one equation, which we all know about but for some reason dont believe it (probably cause it sounds to simple/easy?)
Yes! its the energy balance equation: calories in & calories out:
👉🏻 When we consume more calories than what you burn: we gain weight
👉🏻 When we consume less calories than what you burn: we lose weight
👉🏻 When we take in the same calories as we burn: we maintain

The energy balance equation comes from the first law of thermodynamics: energy can neither be created or destroyed, only transferred from one state to another.
We, humans, cant create energy from nothing, we convert it from food and any excess energy we take in doesnt "magically disapear": our body either increases energy out or stores the excess 🙂

Although the basic equation never changes, there are lots of factors which can affect different parts of the equation.

Sooo, if we want to gain or lose body mass, we want to consider overall energy balance and how to shift it into our favor, for example:

👇🏻TO REDUCE CALORIES IN:

• Consume more fiber rich veggies to reduce the number of calories your body absorbs.
• Consume more protein to reduce appetite and so overall energy intake.
• Eat slowly so you tune into hunger and fullness signals and stop eating when you are satisfied and not stuffed.
• Get enough sleep (yes! you read correctly) to reduce hunger and cravings.

☝🏻TO INCREASE CALORIES OUT:

• Add strength training to build more muscles, boost overall metabolism and burn more calories.
• Add some cardio training.
• Increase DAILY activity by taking the stairs, parking farther from your destination, go for a walk (20min daily will do!). Reduce stress and improve sleep, important for an healthy metabolism.

And remember: have patience! trust the process and enjoy the journey😊.

Tomorrow,1st of January, a new year starts but this doesnt mean that Corona will dissapear, nor you will inmediately stick to your "new years resolutions" thats why it is important to stay realistic about them and what you can achieve with your current lifestyle.
Dont make yourself crazy, stay away from quick fixes, there is no rush!, instead implement slowly changes to your daily routine, set small and smart goals, allow yourself error: remember, no one is perfect nor we want to be so 🙃 but most important: stay POSITIVE! 🥰
