Acupuncturists Without Borders



We met lovely people, including very young children and teens, and gave 23 full treatments and applied many ear seeds to child as young as three. A resounding success for a new clinic. We ate looking forward to returning there in two weeks time. 🙏☮️💚☯️

This week we returned to COA Kabelweg in Amsterdam for our second free community acupuncture clinic.

🧡 Last week we launched a new clinic at a refugee centre in Amsterdam (COA Kabelweg).

🧡 Our first clinic was a big success! We give free treatments, encountered a lot of interest and met a lot of beautiful people.

🧡 This location has 600 permanent residents, including many families with young children.

🧡 We will be located in the centre’s cafe, part of the A Beautiful Mess social support network.

🧡 In this clinic we aim to offer bi-monthly treatments to alleviate stress, trauma, anxiety, insomnia and more.

🧡 Being able to bring some relief to these beautiful children, is part of what keeps motivating us to do our work, and to fight to open new clinics and expand our operations.

🧡 We have fond memories of our first mobile clinics this past summer.

🧡 We set up tent on the quay outside , where we had previously been operating some clinics.

🧡 We gave free acupuncture treatments, met old friends, talked, ate together, and sat in a healing circle.

🧡 Our treatments reduce pain, relive anxiety, improve sleep and help endure trauma.

🧡 We are about to open quite a few new locations in refugee centres and churches in various locations all over The Netherlands, and are on the lookout for new volunteers (acupuncturists and other helpers), so please get in touch with us if you would like to contribute to our efforts to bring relief to refugees, homeless persons, people suffering from addiction disorders and so forth.

This was our first clinic of 2026 in Rasom Haarlem, where we offer care to the members of the Ukrainian community in The Netherlands.

In these clinics we offer healing and care through ear acupuncture, cupping and aromatherapy, while we sit together in a healing circle 🙏 ☯ ☮️

The NADA PROTOCOL👂🏽-> resetting the nervous system 🧠⚡️

🧡 The NADA protocol - National Acupuncture Detoxification Association - was developed in the mid 1970s at Lincoln Detox centre in New York City through a community effort of trial and experimentation.

🧡 Initially used as an effective protocol for supporting addiction and substance misuse, the NADA protocol has since proven successful in treating other conditions such as:

* Post traumatic stress
* General stress and burn out
* Mental health, including anxiety
* Insomnia
* Recovery from medication dependency
* Weight loss
* Trauma recovery in communities

🧡 The NADA protocol is the protocol which we use in our free acupuncture clinics for refugees and displaced persons, as it is an effective, accessible and quick protocol ideal for community acupuncture settings 🧡☯️☮️

🧡 Rasom is a Ukrainian cultural centre in Haarlem, where we give free acupuncture treatments to menbers of its community.
🧡 Our treatments relive trauma, anxiety and help our patinets sleep better and deal with the complexities of their lives.
