The heartfelt meaning of Sadhana — and why you’re likely already practicing it in your daily life 🪷
The concept of Sadhana originated in ancient India and is deeply rooted in the Vedic and later Upanishadic traditions — texts that date back thousands of years.
The term comes from the Sanskrit root “sādh” (साध), which means “to accomplish,” “to achieve,” or “to bring about.”
We practice Sadhana far more often than we realize.
You can invite the practice of Sadhana even more into your daily life by dedicating a single moment each day just to yourself and your practice. Maybe it’s when you go to class at the yoga studio, or when you take a long, well-deserved shower with only your thoughts for company. Maybe it’s when you drink your morning coffee, gifting yourself a few deep, nourishing breaths.
Sadhana is both ancient and timeless — and that makes it all the more profound and beautiful 🤍
