Er is nog geld beschikbaar om impact te maken!

Het Nationaal Groeifonds heeft in de eerste drie rondes al mooie bestemmingen gevonden binnen het thema Gezondheid & Zorg; er zijn nog heel wat miljoenen beschikbaar voor kansrijke projecten. Biotech Booster, RegMed XB en Oncode Accelerator zijn nog druk bezig met scouten.

Money is still available to make an impact!

Unfortunately, the National Growth Fund has been wound down following its third round of funding. But that doesn't mean all the money from those first three rounds has already been allocated. Several millions are still available for promising projects, including for projects in Health & Care. Biotech Booster, RegMed XB and Oncode Accelerator remain hard at work scouting for the right projects.

Jaarlijks melden zich tientallen enthousiaste en bevlogen zorgprofessionals bij het Zorginnovatielab van het Maastricht UMC+. Dat is namelijk het eerste aanspreekpunt als het om innoveren gaat. Hun ideeën - vaak zijn het oplossingen voor dagelijks terugkerende problemen of ergernissen - zijn zonder uitzondering creatief, innovatief en veelbelovend. Helaas blijkt het vervolgproces – het toetsen en implementeren van innovaties in de praktijk - ingewikkelder dan verwacht. Daardoor haken mensen af en worden goede ideeën toch niet gerealiseerd. Daarom bedachten de Zorginnovatoren - waaronder: Perry Hunen (Informatiemanager) en Nicole van Eldik (kinderarts én programmamanager Digitale Zorg) - een slimme oplossing met een wel heel intrigerende naam: De Wasstraat.

Every year, dozens of enthusiastic and passionate healthcare professionals turn to the Care Innovation Lab at Maastricht UMC+: the first point of contact when it comes to innovation. Without exception, their ideas — which often provide solutions to everyday problems or inconveniences — are creative, innovative and promising. Unfortunately, the next step — testing and implementing innovations in practice — often turns out to be more complicated than expected. The result: people give up, and good ideas go to waste. To combat that problem, the Care Innovation Lab — including Perry Hunen (information manager) and Nicole van Eldik (paediatrician and digital care programme manager) — have now come up with a smart solution with a rather intriguing name: the Car Wash.

Het was een gezellige namiddag waar connecties werden gemaakt en de toekomst binnen de biotechnologie uitvoerig werd besproken.
Vanaf vijf uur legden vertegenwoordigers van lokale bedrijven en Hollandbio uit hoe hun organisaties bijdragen aan het versterken van het biotech-ecosysteem op regionaal en (inter)nationaal niveau.

Al met al een zeer geslaagd evenement.

It was a pleasant afternoon where connections were made and the future of biotechnology was discussed in detail.
During the event, representatives from local companies and Hollandbio explained how their organizations contribute to strengthening the biotech ecosystem at the regional and (inter)national levels.

It was a great succes and a fun event to attend.
