Love looks different when you live abroad.
It's building life from scratch in a new country.
It's learning to belong in more than one place.
It's loving someone across cultures, languages and time zones.

This Valentine's Day I am celebrating YOU - the brave hearts who chose adventure, change and expansion.
Being an expat isn't just about moving countries, it's about courage, identity and deep self-love.
Happy Valentine's everyone!

There is a special kind of clarity that comes when you are looking at a city from above - especially one you are visiting or exploring as an expat. For a moment everything feels bigger than your worries and wider than your doubts.
Travel has a way of reminding you how far you have come, how much you have grown and how many versions of yourself you have alread lived through. And whether you are on holiday or building life abroad, these moments help you to reconnect with your courage - the same courage tgat brought you across borders, languages and comfort zone.

Take a photo from every high viewpoint you visit. Later look back and notice how each city reflects a different chapter of your growth

The Power of Mindfulness for Expats ✨

Living abroad can feel overwhelming at times, but mindfulness is a powerful way to stay grounded and present. When adjusting to a new culture, it’s easy to feel scattered, but taking just a few minutes for mindfulness can help reduce stress, improve focus, and give you a sense of calm.

Here’s a simple mindfulness practice you can do anywhere:

Take a moment to close your eyes and breathe deeply.
Focus on your breath, noticing the rise and fall of your chest.
If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breath.

Try it for just 1-2 minutes during your day to center yourself and feel more connected to the present moment. 🙏✨

How do you practice mindfulness? Let me know in the comments!”✨👇🏻

Sitting above valley of clouds, watching the first light rise...It reminded me how often life feels unclear at first.
Moving to a new country can feel the same - nothing fully visible, everything new. But slowly the light grows. Step by step, things start to make sense again.
If you are in that in-between space right now, I hope this moment brings you a little calm.
If you want support as you settle into your new chapter, I am here to help

This photo was taken in Brussels shortly after I moved abroad - before I understood the challenges, the cultural shifts and the emotional transitions that come with starting in a new country.
In those early days I learned lessons that now form the foundation of my coaching work:

- Adapting to a new environment takes time, patience and self-compassion
- Identity evolves when you live between cultures
- Support and community makes big difference

Sharing this moment feels important, because behind every coach is a story and this is where mine started.

If you are navigating your own transition, know that you do not need to do it alone. Your journey is valid, and your growth is unfolding with every step.

I'm Jolanta. I was born in Poland during communist times, and from young age I dreamed of learning languages, living abroad and seeing the world without loosing the connection to where I came from. That dream eventually became my life.
Over 21 years I have lived in four different countries, often starting from zero : no friends, no familly, no language, no familiar routines. Some moves were exciting, others deeply challenging. Each one taught me about resilience, identity, belonging and the courage it takes to rebuild yourself again and again.
I have created a new life multiple times - new job, new cultures, new communities and every chapter shaped me into the woman I am today. Not every place was my choice, but I made the best of each one and I am grateful for the journey.

Those experience are why I became an expat coach. I know how it feels to be brave and lonely at the same time. To question who you are in a new country, to wonder when life will finally feel like yours again.
I can help you through the emotional transition of living abroad and feel home wherever you are.

For many expat women the computer becomes a lifeline - connecting you to opportunities communities and the version of yourself, that still unfolding.

So if today feels quiet, or uncertain or like you are starting from scratch again... know this :

Moving to a new country changes more than your address, it shifts your identity, your rhytms, your sense of belongings. And that takes time. So give yourself permission to pause, to observe, to grow slowly.
The most powerful transformation often begin in quiet moments, when you stop trying to figure it all out and start asking : What feels true for me here? What do I want to build next?
Your next step doesn't have to be dramatic. It just has to be yours
