PURE WATER CHALLENGE COMPLETED... Want To Know My Experience?
Past Wednesday I completed my 7-day Pure Water Challenge. Just to remind, it was not a fast, I was eating as usual, vegan (have a look at my diet at Instagram ) but I drank only water and nothing else...
Such a trivial thing as drinking water... It doesn't sound like a challenge at all, and still... it turned out to become a real test.
Mostly because of the addiction to the strong stimulants, such as black coffee and green tea. The first couple of days were very tough and bumpy/grumpy.
The goal of this experiment was to provide the body with what it is to a large extent: JUST WATER. I was simply curious how my body would react to such a basic maintenance.
Now the test finished and a couple of days passed, I can share my observations. It goes without saying that drinking just water is a very beneficial attitude towards the body. The Body loves it because basically your whole purification system roughly combined of liver, kidneys and the lymphatic system is given a well deserved rest. For the whole week, I was just flushing pure water through my body, and it really responded well.
Most significant observation related to yoga is that from Monday on (5 days into the test) I started experiencing an increased unusual flexibility which I even mentioned in my Yin Yoga class on Monday evening. Also on Thursday, during the Beach Yoga practice, I mentioned to my fellow practitioners that my body felt lean, pliable and stretchable in a way that I noticed as unusual.
Also my joints felt less 'sticky' and 'rusty'. I was used to various sounds in my joins (like soft screeching, squealing and popping) but they definitely became either less audible or disappeared completely. Past Friday night (2 days after the challenge was finished) I had an extremely flexible body during my personal Yin Yoga practice (around 23:00).
My guess is that the water treatment has flushed and cleaned the whole fluid content of my body and released it from toxines and impurities.
Besides, I started waking up before the alarm went off, completely recovered and energetically recharged. There have been also some other beneficial signes which I spare you here otherwise nobody will read this post till the end.
After the challenge I drink herbal infusions, and a cup or two coffee/green tea per day. And I also plan to have another week of Pure Water only soon. So, if you wish to join me, let me know!
