The use of friction or rubbing as therapy, a form of massage. Origin: From the Greek term meaning rubbing up.
In 2013 I suffered a back injury at work, I was in severe pain for a long time. I was treated by an orthopedic surgeon, and I had a lot of sessions with a chiropractor and a physiotherapist. They helped me very well and I am eternally grateful to them.
However I was missing something... I missed having massage. But not just a regular back rub, I was missing a deeper kind of massage. The kind that's between the Relax Massage and Deep Tissue Massage.
When I got better I decided I was going to learn how to do it myself, because I could understand the pain. And I wanted to make a difference.
Nowadays, I still suffer from back pain and I'm still visiting the physiotherapist, but now I understand where it comes from and thanks to a massage the pain is bearable.
