Vivaha Panchami is the sacred day celebrating the divine marriage of Bhagwan Shri Ram and Mata Sita.
It falls on the fifth day (Panchami) of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha, and is celebrated with special devotion in Janakpur (Nepal) and the Mithila region.
2. History:
According to Ramayana, on this tithi, Shri Ram married Sita in King Janak’s palace after breaking Lord Shiva’s bow in the Swayamvar.
Vivaha Panchami symbolizes the union of Maryada Purushottam Ram (ideal dharma, duty, discipline) and Sita (shakti, purity, tolerance, devotion).
In Janakpur & Ayodhya traditions, this day is seen as the cosmic marriage of dharma and shakti, setting the ideal framework for grihastha life.

“I bow to the divine couple Sita and Ram; may their blessings bring purity, love, and dharma into my life.”
Chant 11, 51, or 108 times with a clean mind and sincere intention.
