Have we mentioned that some Battiayo team members do read a lot. You might get a hint from the few books on the floor 😂. She is currently reading The Double X Economy by Linda Scott. The book is based on hard data and on the ground experiences and describes how removing barriers to women is a win for everyone, regardless of gender. Definitely a great read!

The beauty of uniqueness you find in nature everywhere. Each flower is a bit different 🌻🌷🌸 and each one has its own beauty. Each tree 🌲 🌳 is different and unique. We appreciate the lines we see on a stems and different colors of leaves...
Our products are all individually made by hand. They carry the marks the artist decided to leave on them. We are proud of the uniqueness our products reflect.

After a long handwoven Dhaka sampling day, this picture was taken in the forest around Tansen. This was the day our Black & White Dhaka fabric was born in the birth place of Palpali Dhaka.
