Its tranquil and secluded location makes it ideal for both group retreats as well as solitary retreats. Chogyal Rinpoche himself regularly retreats here for some quiet time and offers teachings and group retreats at the venue. Located at an altitude of approx. 1600 m on top of a hill and overlooking the Kathmandu Valley, Repa Retreat is a place where one experiences deep relaxation, increased awa
reness and presence. At the moment, 20 guests can be accommodated in 7 twin bedrooms and in 1 shared room. A large indoor space - perfect for meditation, yoga and the like - offers direct access to the terrace and the garden. Mats and cushions are available. There will be room for 24 more guests in a second building, the Repa Village House, which is currently being built (6 rooms with dormitory beds). We expect it to be ready for booking in early summer 2022. We offer a breakfast / lunch / dinner package. The food is organic and vegetarian and it is prepared in an outdoor kitchen. A big Tibetan festival tent serves as the dining hall. Transportation to the venue is included in the price. It is a one-hour drive from Kathmandu to the Repa Retreat. The last part of the journey involves a 20 to 30 minute hike up the hill on an unsealed access road. Your luggage is taken care of. If needed, and provided that the road is in usable condition, transport up the hill to the retreat place can be offered. The Repa Retreat is open from March to mid October, when it starts to get cold. Extended stays for individual retreatants can be agreed upon. We are a non-profit endeavour involving local people and young adults from Sertshang Orphanage Home in Kathmandu. Revenue from the retreat center is used to maintain it. Surplus revenue goes towards charitable projects of Chogyal Rinpoche. Please feel free to contact us for any further information which we will be most happy to give you.
