Empowering Laboratories Through Specialized Training

We are pleased to share that National Path Lab (NPL) successfully completed a 2-day dedicated and specialized training on IQC & RIQAS, conducted by the expert team from Randox UK.
This focused training was organized with the objective of strengthening laboratory quality systems, improving analytical accuracy, and ensuring alignment with international standards through best practices in Internal Quality Control (IQC) and Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS).
The Techno Biomed is committed to providing and facilitating such specialized training programs.

Techno Biomed Pvt. Ltd. is proud to be part of the novel initiative by the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) aimed at enhancing child healthcare in Nepal under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala and his dedicated team.

The session also highlighted the cutting-edge technologies used in Newborn Screening (NBS) — including TR-FIA Analyzer and UPLC-MS/MS Technology — which enable accurate, high-throughput, and reliable testing outcomes.

As part of this initiative, Techno Biomed Pvt. Ltd. proudly hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session at KIOCH in collaboration with Fenghua Newborn Screening. We were honored to have Ms. Emily Jing, Product Manager at Fenghua, join us virtually to share her expert insights on the clinical importance of early neonatal screening and best-practice laboratory workflows.

Key screening markers covered:
• Phenylketonuria (PKU): Screening for amino acid metabolism disorder
• G6PD deficiency: Detection of enzyme deficiency associated with hemolytic anemia
• TSH/T4: Early detection of congenital hypothyroidism
• 17-Alpha Hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP): Screening for congenital adrenal hyperplasia
• Total Galactose (TGAL): Screening for galactosemia
• GALT (Galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase): Confirmation of defective galactose metabolism
• Biotinidase: Screening for biotin metabolism deficiency
• Immunoreactive trypsinogen (IRT): Screening marker for cystic fibrosis
