This wasn’t an easy decision as I truly love working with clients, but my online program 'The Whole Health Revolution' has grown and now requires more of my time and focus.

I feel incredibly grateful to do the work I do: helping people regain control of their health, feel better, lose weight, and manage ongoing health concerns in a sustainable, realistic way.

High blood pressure and high cholesterol often get treated like isolated problems, but they rarely show up on their own.

They’re usually signals of deeper, long-term metabolic stress, such as:
- Chronic stress,
- Poor blood sugar regulation,
- Insulin resistance
- Inflammation
- Day-to-day food patterns that quietly build over time.

These aren’t random.
They’re red flags asking us to look beneath the surface.

Instead of taking different pills for each condition, real change happens when you support the underlying drivers:

Fasting can be a powerful tool for improving health when done the right way.

Research shows that fasting can support cell repair and longevity, enhance gut health, balance blood sugar levels, and even reduce inflammation, promoting healthy ageing.

🚨But it’s not for everyone, or every season of life.

If your stress levels are high and cortisol is elevated, fasting may actually work against you, leading to increased fatigue, cravings, and hormonal imbalance.

In those times, nourishing your body regularly may be more supportive than restricting food.

If you’re curious to try fasting, start gently. Start by making dinner your last meal. You automatically have 12+ hours of fasting before breakfast the next day!

If you want to take a bigger leap, the 16:8 approach (16 hours fasting, 8 hours eating) is a good place to begin.

Listen to your body: do you feel more energetic and focused, or tired and wired?

Your body will tell you what works best.

Remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to nutrition.

Vitamin D is one of the most important nutrients for your whole-body health.

It supports:

☀️ For those of us here in New Zealand…
Now’s the time to make the most of the sunshine and top up your natural stores before winter returns!

Aim for 10–20 minutes of sun exposure to your face, arms, and legs (without sunscreen) between 10am–3 pm most days.

If you have medium to dark skin, you may need around 30–45 minutes for the same benefit.

❄️ If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere…
As daylight hours shorten, it becomes harder to make enough Vitamin D from sunlight alone.

This is the perfect time to consider supplementing, especially if you spend most of your day indoors or live in areas with limited winter sun.

🍳 Top up with food too:

-Oily fish, salmon, sardines, and mackerel
-Eggs (especially the yolks)
-Liver
-Fortified dairy or plant milks

🏆This is me 9 years ago!!!

This memory popped up of me the day before stepping on stage for my bodybuilding competition.

I still remember the excitement (and nerves!) like it was yesterday. I’m incredibly proud of what I achieved, and to go on and win that comp .

But little did I know how much my health would suffer afterwards.

At the time, I thought my constant exhaustion and pain were just part of the “grind.” I was pushing hard, eating clean, training twice a day… but my body was quietly breaking down.

I became very unwell and was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Looking back, I now realise I was already in perimenopause and running on empty.

So why post this photo of the old me??? Well, it’s easy to scroll through social media and admire amazing physiques, but it’s important to remember that visible muscle tone or low body fat doesn’t always equal health.

Especially for women in their 40s and 50s, extreme dieting or overtraining can do more harm than good.

I still look back at that time fondly. The dedication, the discipline, the thrill of achieving a big goal.

But I’m even more grateful for what it led me to: a complete career change, a Bachelor of Natural Medicine, and a passion for helping others find real health from the inside out.

Everything we go through teaches us something.

Sometimes the toughest chapters end up guiding us exactly where we’re meant to be.

These days I put all of my focus on my online program The Whole Health Revolution, where I help you achieve your health goals - whether that's weight loss, muscle tone, or simply to feel better. I've got you.... and not with extreme dieting. The focus is on lifelong health and wellbeing.
