1. CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK

So, to avoid the dirty F word, I will be referring to intermittent fasting as “eating window” during most of my correspondence.

Intermittent fasting has received a bad rap, due to misinformation and bad practice or implementation of easing it into your life.

I will break the whole process down into bite-size pieces, making it easy to understand and even easier to implement into your Lifestyle Design Journey. Over the next few weeks, I will be providing information about intermittent fasting and the benefits that may be associated with it.

Intermittent fasting should not be seen as a diet but as a tool. Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating and not eating, it is not about reducing calories, it is focused more on changing when you eat and when you do not eat.

So, what we are going to address is how and why you should implement it into your lifestyle. Intermittent Fasting may be one of the most efficient and important factors when aiming for healthy happy living and weight loss.

INTERMITTENT FASTING

WHY, because its easier that a water fast and has the same benefit and is a simple and sustainable way of ensuring that you live a happy and healthy life.

My first experience with intermittent fasting was surprisingly easy! I was shocked at the simplicity of intermittent fasting, it is not a what to eat concept and is more a when to eat which make everything so much simpler.

I expected the worse, I expected everything that I had read about online and what everyone had said to be true. I waited for the hunger, the being irritable, the muscle loss, the sickness and ailments that were supposed to follow and nothing.

This was not hard, I started with the basics, that was my regular 3 meals in a 16/8 window which in essence means not eating for 16 hours and them eating only in that 8 hour window, that was very achievable and I decided to change that to a 18/6 window which took my not eating to 18 hours with a 6 hour window to eat in,

I also changed my frequency to two meals in this window from the normal 3.

Still no hunger, no irritability, but a weight loss of 14kg and it seems to stay constant for now…
