Not sure if listening to your inner voice is *always* the best business advice you can get, but it definitely has helped me the past 12 months!

Running my studio was such a huge joy and learning curve, but to be fair, 2025 has taught a lot about me, business, and balance in general.

I was have one of those shower thoughts of wow, look at your progress, so I decided to share it with you all.

So happy I had the chance to visit so many amazing places, get to know the best people, and call this my life now.

THANK YOU A MILLION FOR BEING A PART OF THIS JOURNEY FOR ME!

Here’s to a great finish of 2025 and a bright stat of 2026!

If you feel like it, share which month this year was your favourite!

ps: this may be the earliest end of year post ever, but this week is my last “full” week of work.

Silly season is when we are chasing the end of the year + planning the beginning of the next one.

In all honesty the past couple of weeks felt quiet after Black Friday, but all of a sudden clients are reaching out for new projects, new automations, new lending pages, and new systems that they want to set up before the New Year starts.

So I felt a little overwhelmed the past 48 hours, so I needed to take a break to not get a menty B! You feel me?

Shout if you need a hand, I’m here for you! ☺️

Also make sure you take care of yourself and enjoy the silliness of this season, too!

There are 3 big chunks of an automation, and we often start with the obvious one: the trigger.

However, the best automations focus on the outcome - what do we want our client to do once they are in this automation?

Then think about that ideal client - why did they enter the automation? Why would this automation make sense to have your client be part of it? That’s your trigger!

Finally, don’t forget the reasons why they would exit an automation … do they have or don’t have a tag, part of a segment (ie clients who haven’t attended for X amount of time), or simply not in the right location? These conditions and filters will make sure your emails land in the right client’s inbox, instead of spamming everyone that has ever visited you!

Has this helped?

This was a great eye opener for me.

I knew that the work I do actually helps, but there was no real data behind it all. 📊

Until now.

I worked on a few projects this year, some were great, others needed a little reshaping.

However, the best part of it all is actually seeing all the studios and their owners THRIVING!

Here’s to celebrating all the hard work of 2025 and prepping for a better, smoother 2026!

When you are putting together your offers, your excitement should show how valuable or great the deal you created is for your clients.

It’s not always easy, but understanding that there is so much value, even with special deals, the benefits should outweigh the risks.

Maybe marketing your offerings the way your clients thing could help you:

1. They probably have a set budget: think about some of the deals you see, like “under $50” or “buy one get second free” etc.

2. They want to purchase something they will use! We all want something practical that fulfils a desire.

3. Bundling should make sense. Just buying 2 random things to make something cheaper makes no sense, but grouping items together by use, color, brand, etc, is a huge game changer. (IE two beauty products from the same brand, versus separate brands)

4. It should have enough room for a treat. If your clients go for a coffee after every class at your studio, make the discount “coffee on us this month”! Speak their language, give them what they need.

Have fun holiday shopping! ☺️

Introducing The Wellness Block

This is a passion project I've been building! A free weekly newsletter that curates the best wellness events happening around Auckland.

Every Wednesday, subscribers get a handpicked list of yoga classes, pilates sessions, meditation workshops, sound baths, med-spa experiences, retreats, and holistic health events. No ads, no fluff, just the good stuff.

Why I created this:
After moving to Auckland, I realised how hard it was to keep track of all the amazing wellness experiences happening in the city and I felt like I only found out about them from someone's Instagram story AFTER they happened.

I wanted one place that pulled it all together—for me, for you, for anyone who loves this stuff.

But also? As someone who works with wellness professionals every day, I see how much heart you pour into what you do. This is my way of supporting you. Connecting you with people who are genuinely looking for what you offer. For free. Always.

If you love wellness: Sign up via link in bio!

If you're a wellness business owner: I'd love to feature your events. It's completely free and takes 2 minutes to submit. Swipe to learn how, or check the link in bio.

Submissions close Monday 5pm each week.

Let's build something beautiful together

A little update for you:

Friday night I went to and it inspired me a lot to be more stretchy and bandy, only to have my first (and hopefully last) knee injury on Saturday.

Playing tennis has been such a great way for me to destress, move away from my laptop, and enjoy moving my body.

Now I’m just resting it up for the next few days.

My knee is sore but it’s getting better day by day!

Give me your best upper body workouts, your gal is BORED!

I changed careers almost 10 months ago. Still in the wellness scene, more behind, then in front of the carriage.

But if I still had my brick & mortar yoga + pilates studio, this is where I would focus my energy on entering into 2026 slowly:

1. Communication! I’d spend more time on client convos and making sure it works for both the studio client and I. In 2021 I upgraded my studio system because my clients preferred text messaging over emails. It obviously cost more initially, but in the long run it saved me clients and money.

2. Segmentations! Grouping my clients and visitors on my site would have been a marketing game-changer, for sure. Learning how one clients behaviour in my studio system can actually help my business grow is a data point we all need to figure out.

3. Automations! I had some basic ones, like new client, birthday and milestone ones, but I honestly slagged when it came to reactivation and lost opportunities of guest passes! These tools are so so helpful and the best part of a well-balanced automation is that it won’t feel like robots talking to your clients, you can still manually reach out to them!

Probably there are other areas I could mention, but almost a year into working with other wellness businesses, I have learner where true strength and value lies when it comes to creating systems that work for your business.

What about you? Where are you planning to focus your energy in the new year?

I bought a pack of 5 perfume samples before investing in a big bottle last week. Some of the scents were familiar, others were new to me, which makes it all so exciting to trial them before committing to coughing up hundreds of dollars for one that will last me a while.

However, the other day I was on my way to lunch, only 20 mins after spritzing one of the samples on me, and I couldn’t smell it anymore. I thought: well, it’s only a sample, maybe it’s not the real perfume, maybe it’s the eau de toilette version and maybe the full size one has all the expensive ingredients… but this way they’ll never get me hooked, because I was let down with the sample.

Then it kind of hit me and I thought I’d share it (here it is), that having a weak intro offer with a nothing email sequence will leave no impressions on someone new to your studio… or the only impression they’ll have is that they were kind of forgotten…

So, I’d say jam pack everything into your intro sequence!
This doesn’t mean you have to email these clients every day, but make sure you stand out.

Showcase why committing to you is so worth it. That upgrading is a no brainer. Put your best foot forward!

When it comes to qualifications, i definitely got some street credit!

Sometimes small steps in our journey takes us down in paths we never thought we’d end up on, and I kind of love that for us!

Just a little story about how I ended up here, within the wellness world, more on the corporate side.

Let me look at your site and help you, for free!

I often run website audits for clients just to help them see how their work translates for a visitor on their page, and I'd like to offer this option for free for the first 3 who are interested.

All you need to do is visit my website, scroll to the bottom to find the Website Audit section, click on the button and fill in the form!

Available as a first come, first served bases, so make sure you get on the list quick!

Might be wondering what's in an audit usually:
✔ Full review of your website’s usability, flow, and clarity
✔ Recorded Loom video walkthrough pointing out what’s working — and what’s not
✔ Written checklist with 5–10 practical UX fixes you can make immediately
✔ Audits are delivered within 24 hours on weekdays (Mon–Fri).

⭐ Perfect for: DIY studio owners who want a professional opinion before making changes — and love a good to-do list.

You can also comment FREE WEBSITE AUDIT in the comments and I can get in touch, too.

Imaging you invite someone to your house, ask them to bring a plate of food, and the RSVP yes, then you almost ghost them. 👻

They decide to show up, but all you do is open the door for them. No where to put your food, when we’re eating, or take your shoes off, please.

That is the exact feeling when someone signs up to a class at your studio and you simply neglect to welcome them with your email sequence!

Sadly, that was the majority of my experience with visiting studios through South Island, so I decided to put together this guide on what to include in your welcome emails!

I bet it will take less time to set up than for me to have created these!

If you want me to set it up for you, just holler at me! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Why Yoga?

In fifth grade every student in my school had to have a check up by a chiropractitioner to make sure that before we would hit puberty, we will grow into bones, joints and muscles that can hold us all till retirement. This was when I was told that my feet are a little flat and that my right shoulder is lower than my left, therefore I needed to take special PE classes. I was not sure what a “special PE class” meant, but the first Wednesday when I had to go I found out it was yoga.

About 6 of us attended from different classes, we each had different “problems” with our bodies that needed fixing. The class was fun, our teacher was great at providing poses and challenges that made us really focus on the given task, like taking off and putting on a sock only using your toes. It was torture, in a good sense.

I attended these classes for 3 years and I loved them. I was so dedicated that there were times that it was only me who made it to class each Wednesday. In high school, parents and teachers thought that probably we were all fixed now or might never be able to change our structure anymore, therefore, yoga classes were cancelled. I missed it a lot, but my busy schedule pointed my attention elsewhere anyway.

It was only when I was about 19 that I decided to start yoga again. It was somewhat out of the blue, as a friend of mine mentioned it to me, and after a quick search on YouTube I could roll out my mat and do a session each morning before breakfast. First the familiar downward dog was hard, felt that my back and hamstrings were so tight that I would never be able to reach my toes or the floor ever, I had to sneak in extra breaths through a Surya Namaskar. Don’t even get me started on a chaturanga push up… As I kept pushing myself, I started to feel powerful again. Downward dog felt like a relaxing pose, I began challenging myself with more variations and decided to attend a local yoga class. It was amazing. The sense of connection between the attendees brought back great memories from the past from primary school.
