Join me at our land at Karioitahi Beach to share in a sacred blessing of the land where we will connect with and honour the Ancestors, the Atua to watch over and care for this place.

We will begin by journeying to lay the heart stones in the land. Gathering in sacred silence we will join in an intention circle where we will all be able to receive and share any insights and messages. We will sing songs and offer our blessings and prayers.

We will enjoy a shared lunch followed by some time planting dune grass as a practical offering of co-creation.

- Relax and sink into nature with forest bathing practice

Joan the Wad is the Queen of the Piskies,- tiny pixie like beings in Cornish folklore. Joan the Wad has been associated with Jack o' the Lantern, the King of the Pixies. The two may also be considered will-o'-the-wisp type characters who lead travelers astray on lonely moors, hence the rhyme:

Jack-the-lantern, Joan-the-wad,
That tickled the maid and made her mad,
Light me home, the weather's bad.However, Joan is also to thought use her Wad (Torch) to light the way to safety and good luck, as another rhyme says, "Good fortune will nod, if you carry upon you Joan the Wad". .
It struck me that Thailand still has this worship and reverence for the nature and land spirits very much alive in their culture, a big part of why I loved it there so much. Spirit houses everywhere! The worship and acknowledgment of these types of spirits was an integral part of all indigenous cultures- let’s bring back the magic 🌈🧚🧚🏻‍♂️.

Cornwall!! Embracing an ancient oak tree and a traditional Cornish fishing village.
Humans have existed here for about 100,000 years! With the oldest human skull being dated to 35,000 years old.
Don’t let anyone deny your ancient lineage, if you’re ‘white’ you too are indigenous, with myth, folklore, sacred sites and lands that sing your with your ancestors song. We must remember! Our song is needed too so we can once again join with all the other Earth peoples and create the prophesied Rainbow tribe 🌈.

Buddha became enlightened under a Bodhi Tree and so everywhere in Thailand these trees are revered. This Tree Temple was the perfect spot to make a vibrational essence!
A few people stopped by to make offerings of red Fanta, bananas and incense. Magic spot. Can’t wait to bring it home 💜.

A trip away from home to find it again

Tree Mystic began with a 3 month trip to Philadelphia. Overcome with the dense urban intensity and shocked by the lack of accessibility to nature spaces, I became aware of the divide that a large proportion of humans are suffering from. Living in New Zealand its not nearly so noticeable, parks, beaches, reserves and pretty darn beautiful ones are usually located walking distance from most places, even in the urban centres.

I struggled to find the peace and beauty of nature I needed to feel happy and relaxed. I realised a sad truth, that many people don’t even know that the jaded fatigue and exhaustion they are afflicated with, that has become second nature, is caused by being completely out of touch with the natural world. So out of touch, you don’t even know, its just a way of life.

This is going to sound a little strange - but I felt a cry for help, a yearning for a way out of the madness. A primal wail, a creature of the wild wanting to find their way back home again.

And so I have set about answering that cry by dedicating my life to bringing people to the very heart of the natural world and reawakening their innate connection to it. I do this by offering Forest Therapy talks, walks and retreats. I have a Shamanic Healing practice that clears blocks in any area of life that are standing in the way of your fullest expression. I also make a magical range of flower essences.
