🇳🇿 Happy Waitangi Day from BreastScreen Auckland Central!

We were honoured to be part of Waitangi ki Ōmaru — a vibrant celebration. This beautiful day brought together whānau, cultural performers, community groups, and health providers from across Tāmaki Makaurau, including Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Minister Paul Goldsmith, and MP for Mt Roskill, Carlos Cheung.

We joined alongside many incredible health and wellbeing services, engaging directly with our community to kōrero about the importance of early detection through regular breast screening.

✨ Breast screening saves lives. A mammogram can detect breast cancer early — often before symptoms appear — giving the best chance of successful treatment.

Thank you to all who stopped by our stall, asked questions, and shared their stories. We’re here to support you on your journey to better health. 💙

What an incredible Hauora Day!

Over 20 amazing health providers came together in one place — a true celebration of community, wellbeing, and partnership.

From weeks of planning to bringing everyone onsite, our shared kaupapa created a space where whānau felt supported, informed, welcomed, and empowered.

A huge highlight was having our BreastScreen Mobile Unit onsite — ready for bookings from 01/12 to 05/12.

Seeing women engage, ask questions, tour the unit, and take that first step toward screening was truly special.

Thank you to every provider, every volunteer, every supporter, and to Ponsonby SDA Church for opening their doors.
Together, we made something powerful happen. 💗✨
