💙 Out in the community at the Ōtāhuhu Family Fun Day!
Our BreastScreen Auckland Central team had a great time attending the annual Ōtāhuhu Family Fun Day at Fairburn Reserve, connecting with whānau and sharing important information about breast screening.
We were able to engage with around 50 wāhine, kōrero about the importance of early detection, and help raise awareness about free breast screening services available in our community.
Thank you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by our stall to learn more, ask questions, and support women’s health. Community events like this are a great way to connect, share knowledge, and encourage wāhine to prioritise their wellbeing.

🇳🇿 Happy Waitangi Day from BreastScreen Auckland Central!

We were honoured to be part of Waitangi ki Ōmaru — a vibrant celebration. This beautiful day brought together whānau, cultural performers, community groups, and health providers from across Tāmaki Makaurau, including Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Minister Paul Goldsmith, and MP for Mt Roskill, Carlos Cheung.

We joined alongside many incredible health and wellbeing services, engaging directly with our community to kōrero about the importance of early detection through regular breast screening.

✨ Breast screening saves lives. A mammogram can detect breast cancer early — often before symptoms appear — giving the best chance of successful treatment.

Thank you to all who stopped by our stall, asked questions, and shared their stories. We’re here to support you on your journey to better health. 💙
