Since we began in 2016, with the support of dedicated growers, we set out to tackle the significant challenges that perpetually confronted our industry.

This mission led to the creation of our simple, yet comprehensive orchard management software. This not only gave back countless hours to growers, but also allowed them to concentrate on what truly matters: growing top-quality produce.

We soon discovered another critical challenge, this time affecting packers. The absence of early post-harvest data. To address this, we developed our innovative fruit quality app. Leveraging machine learning, computer vision, and AI, our app accurately measured fruit size and color in mere seconds, using just a mobile device.

At Hectre, settling for second best has never been an option. We remain dedicated to delivering unparalleled solutions for growers and packers worldwide.

What a day! Yesterday our squad, the Hectre Harriers, participated in the 8.4km Round The Bays run from near the Auckland ferry building all the way to St Heliers, alongside 30,000 runners.

A massive shoutout to our Captain Hayden for ensuring we were well-fueled with recovery snacks and refreshments at the finish line.🏃‍♂️🍎. Congrats to Leo for smashing it and taking the win with an impressive time of 42 mins! We all pushed hard and had a blast doing it.

At Hectre, we do more than just create awesome software for fruit farmers. We're all about teamwork, pushing limits, and innovating together. Running in Round The Bays was just another way we live out those values, proving we're in this journey side by side, aiming high in everything we do. 🍏💪

A few weeks ago, we had the honor of having two of our stellar team members, Aaron Croft and Michael Lillis, invited as keynote speakers at Auckland. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our unique insights with the wider industry.

We all know product development is no walk in the park, and it's fascinating how each company approaches it uniquely. This diversity makes sense, given how much a company’s structure and the nature of its customers can influence product and design roles.

Navigating these realms in a pre-A startup with limited resources, while catering to enterprise clients and their less tech-savvy users - all in orchards where a strong internet signal is a rare find! 🍒 We’re starting off our 2024 expo tour with the NW Cherry Growers 81st Annual Cherry Institute in Yakima, Washington!

💡 2023 saw a massive amount of innovation added to Hectre’s Spectre for Cherries AI solution which in-turn delivered highly accurate size and color data to cherry growers and packers around the world, at a huge scale.

🗓 On January 12, at booth 43, you’ll have the chance to learn about the latest Hectre innovations in cherry technologies, as well as learn about the exciting innovations we’ve got planned in this space for 2024!

🍒 Wow, what a first season! 1,800,000 cherries have been detected in South America by our tailored AI early cherry sizing solution, Spectre for Cherries S.A. 🍒

💪 Leading the way with the Hectre record for most cherries sized to date are Verfrut, Chile’s largest individual fruit grower. A big shout out to premium fruit businesses Gesex, Olivar export , Grupo Cochrane and Frutas Gaucho also. We have been extremely impressed with the innovation leadership shown by you all as you embrace this new cherry technology.

🏆 As we close out the year, we’re excited to share that Hectre has received further international recognition after being awarded the Corporate Excellence Award for ‘Best Fruit Growing Software Solutions Provider 2023’.

💪 We’re incredibly proud of the ongoing efforts of our team and are extremely grateful for the fantastic support we receive from industry.

📢 Shout out to one of our newest Chilean customers, San Clemente Fruits, who have implemented Hectre's Spectre Top Down AI solution at their fruit packhouse.

💪 Our team have been impressed with San Clemente Fruits' commitment to innovate for better outcomes for their producers. With our award winning fruit size and color grade AI technology now supporting their dedicated team, they can now access reliable fruit size and color data at massive scale, earlier than ever before!

Un Nuevo Sofware de Calidad fue implementado en nuestra Central Frutícola San Clemente Angol y tiene como finalidad hacer más eficiente la toma de muestras para evaluar calibre y color de la fruta. Ya que al pasar el camión cargado por la cámara recién instalada, esta toma una fotografía y en segundos entrega la información de calibre y color.
Esta implementación será utilizada para cerezas 🍒 y manzanas🍎. Y se espera seguir incluyendo otro tipo de evaluaciones en el tiempo como el nivel de madurez de la fruta.

Gracias a este sistema nuestros productores saben el estado de su fruta apenas llega el camión al packing.

A New Quality Software was implemented in our San Clemente Angol Fruit Center and its purpose is to make sampling more efficient to evaluate the size and color of the fruit. How does this work?
When the loaded truck passes by the newly installed camera, it takes a photograph and in seconds delivers the caliber and color information.
This implementation will be used for cherries 🍒 and apples🍎. And it is expected to evolve, including other types of evaluations over time, such as the level of maturity of the fruit.

Thanks to this system, our producers know the status of their fruit as soon as the truck arrives at the packing site.
