IN CONTROL AGAIN – TIME MANAGEMENT FOR MOTHERS

Standing in the kitchen, toys everywhere, kids yelling, dishes undone, and your brain just shuts down.
You keep thinking you’ll catch up. But somehow, you never do.

This is why I created this workshop.

WHAT WE’LL DO TOGETHER
✅ We’ll start with a short grounding reset to help you shift out of “fight or flight” mode

✅ Then we’ll map your life into 5 clear areas so you can finally see where your energy goes

✅ You’ll learn how to create a flexible weekly plan that works with interruptions, not against them

✅ We’ll use gentle colour coding, if you like, to make everything more visual and less overwhelming

✅ You’ll learn tools like the Weekly Dashboard, Daily Top 3 and Reset Loops (including the 15-Min Reset)

✅ Optionally, you can set it all up in Trello if digital works better for you

I created this system because I was tired of trying to fit my life into someone else’s idea of structure, especially as a mum.
I needed something that gave me clarity, relief, and space to breathe, not just another list of things to do.

The SYNC Method is a gentle, holistic approach to time management designed for overwhelmed mothers.
It doesn’t start with a colour-coded schedule.
It starts with your mental load, your real needs, and your emotional energy, and helps you build a rhythm that flows with your children, not against them.

This approach blends simple time management tools with elements from psychology, emotional regulation, habit-building, and coaching, all in a way that feels natural and human.
Because it’s not just about getting more done.
It’s about feeling more you again.

A mum said to me,
“I’ve got no patience left.”
She sounded ashamed — like she thought she was failing.
But I told her the truth:
“It’s not a lack of patience. You’re probably overstimulated.”
Her whole body relaxed. “YES. That’s exactly it.”

Because here’s the thing:
Patience doesn’t live in your willpower.
It lives in your nervous system.

When your body is calm and regulated, patience flows naturally.
But when you’re running on empty — touched out, overstimulated, mentally loaded —
your system can’t access that calm.

It’s not weakness. It’s wiring.
And the answer isn’t “be more patient.”
It’s:
• What do I need to feel safe again?
• What might help me come back to myself?


You’re not broken. You’re human.
And you deserve space to breathe.

In my last story, I mentioned that I felt overwhelmed and stressed. Did you know that research from the University of Manchester and other studies show mothers experience higher stress levels than some of the best managers? In fact, these studies found that full-time working mothers are significantly more stressed than their childless counterparts. We deal with chronic stress daily, which is why it’s crucial to train our nervous system to exit the fight-or-flight state.

Here are some techniques that can help:

• Meditation
• Yoga
• Breath work
• Visualisation
• Guided imagery
• Progressive muscle relaxation

These techniques may feel ineffective initially. Remember, triggering your relaxation response is like training a muscle—it becomes easier and more effective over time.
