Tēna tātau Te Pā Harakeke 🌱

Te Pā Harakeke means a lot to me. And I have been very busy learning, observing, living, preserving and sharing along the way. All of these things which this space is for. A space for healing and connecting through the taiao and with one another as kaitiaki of all that comes from our whakapapa, our atua māori.

The full picture to TPH will slowly come to light and you will see it for what it is. But for now i’m taking every opportunity as it comes, and best believe im going to act on them when their just too good to be true. Ngā tohu katoa! When you speak it into action they really do come true. You just have to act on it. Work on it. Put yourself out there and share in the journey, share the pics, share the oranga. Cause its for everyone. Its called community. And we could all do with it. Connection to the real world. To our constantly changing environments. And the people within it.

Mahinga kai is just one of the many facets of TPH, a passion of mine instilled in me from watching my parps provide for our whanau growing up rurally. My experience in the taiao, tikanga, gathering kai, connecting with my kaitiaki, observing all the tohu is all part of what I will be offering in this space.

TPH is all about learning by getting out there and doing it. Decolonizing the mind, body and soul. I hope you enjoy my first YT video where you can catch me on the missions with Aunty T. Be sure to hit the subscribe button for my next trip coming soon. And follow me on all social media platforms, whatevers your jam… i’ll be figuring it all out as I go.

But one things for sure, if your here then give us a phat Mauri Ora in the comments! And lets build our community, our pā harakeke.

Arohanui, Marie x

✨ Honoring the Maramataka ✨

The maramataka is more than just a moon calendar—it’s a tool for deepening our connection with ourselves, our emotions, and the taiao. By observing the marama and our environment, we can become more in tune with our own rhythms, find balance, and embrace the natural flow of energy around us.

Swipe through to learn how aligning with the maramataka can support your well-being, presence, and overall hauora. 🌿🌕

Creating a birth plan isn’t just about medical preferences—it’s about grounding yourself in your whakapapa, tikanga, and values. These are five key things to consider when planning for birth in a culturally grounded way. What would you add? Let’s kōrero in the comments!

Kia mōhio mai koutou e te whānau!

I’m posting across three different platforms at the moment—Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook—and ya sis is learning as we go. Meta, Accounts Centre… pai kare! 😂

Still figuring out how much content I’ll be sharing across each platform, but for now, this is the general vibe:

📍 Instagram Stories – Catch me here for story times, reflections, behind-the-scenes of the kaupapa (a.k.a my life now 😂), and resharing my TikTok videos.

📍 Instagram Posts – A mix of visual posts, whakaaro, and kaupapa kōrero.

📍 TikTok – Short videos sharing insights, mātauranga, and reflections.

📍 page – More of the pānui roa type of vibe, longer posts, and kaupapa updates.

📍 TPH Community Facebook Group – A space for māmā and whānau to share their stories, journeys, learnings, and wānanga together.

This is an exciting journey for me—I love being creative, but I also need to remind myself to just put it out there without overthinking. So here we go!

Let me know what kind of content you’d love to see more of. Keen to hear your thoughts! ✨
