I had to do one more painting for an upcoming exhibition over New Years.

I like this one, but wish I had done Freddie a little bigger to fill the space better. This is my critical eye though. It still looks cool i think.

Here’s a question for you.

I quite like how these last two playing card paintings have turned out (Elvis and Freddie), and I think this could be a fun series to continue. My question is, what other cards could I do? Who would be good for a Jack? There is always the Joker too. Or are there other kings or queens I could do?

This will give me something to ponder over the holidays.

My final painting for the year…. The King Of Hearts 💕

One of my favourite artists is Joe Petruccio. He does done lots of Elvis and sports paintings and I saw a drawing he did turning Elvis in a playing card.

I took this as inspiration to create my own, in my own style.

This is one of my favorite images of Elvis, and it happened to work out perfectly using the neck of the guitar as the point where I could flip the image.

This is quite different than my usual paintings. But I love how it turned out.

An unusual way to ease a stiff, sore neck....

Most of us train our legs, arms, core etc…. but often forget one of the most important areas, the neck.

A strong neck can help reduce pain, improve posture, and even ease headaches.

I just finished another Marilyn Monroe painting.

I have done lots of paintings of Marilyn Monroe over the years, but I think this is the best face I have done of her so far.

As with a few of my recent paintings, I added a pop of colour with the books on the shelf. I love how it turned out.

I’m going to try and grow some bananas 🍌.

It’s been in for a week or so and has already grown a new leaf, so hopefully it’s a sign of things to come.

Fingers crossed it will produce some.

Does anyone know how long banana plants take to produce fruit?

If you are feeling overwhelmed by all the hacks, tips and advice out there, don’t ask “what should I be doing?”, ask “what can I do?”.

This simple question can give you a great starting point.

With time and consistency hopefully you will build some momentum, gain some motivation and then want to add to it over time.

This is hopefully when you will start to see the results you are after.
