They lose it because they stop using it.

Your body adapts to what you repeatedly do, and what you repeatedly avoid.

If you never reach overhead….
Why would your body keep that ability?

Disc bulge? Herniated disc? Sciatica?

It’s easy to get caught up in trying to find the perfect routine or exercise or “health hack”.

But most of the time, the biggest results come from doing the basics, and doing them consistently.

Small actions done consistently will almost always beat big actions done occasionally.

A few minutes a day can make a huge difference over time.

My first painting for the year. Joker Vs Joker.

I wanted to make another playing card painting, and making a Joker card was the next obvious choice.

The hard bit for me was deciding which joker to paint.

Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson are my favourite jokers so I decided to do both and merge the images together. I love how it turned out.

I think the cool thing with this is, depending on who your favorite is, you could have that version at the top.

Let me know in the comments which one you would have at the top.

I also added a touch of color as I have been doing recently.

If there is one thing I am good at it, it’s overthinking and worrying about things.

I received James Clears newsletter this morning in my emails and it had this quote which really resonated for me. It is also something that I have found works wonders for me.

If you are an overthinker, rather than ruminating on it over and over again, try some movement, and see how it changes.

Walking and my painting are two of the things that work well for me.

Spend some time this weekend thinking about what things may work for you when you start to over think.

Also, if you are stuck on a task or stuck for ideas, movement can also help boost your creativity. I’ve lost count of the number of times a useful idea has popped into my mind when I’m out to my walk.

A little bit about us...

I am a chiropractor, father of 2 beautiful girls, husband and part time artist. My goal is to help people FEEL, MOVE and FUNCTION better. I achieve this through, chiropractic adjustments, exercise/movement prescription and advice. I practice what I preach by getting adjusted, eating well (most of the time) and exercising regularly. We also need to rest and I use my artwork as my way to de-stress.

I like to live by the mantra “Try to move more things, more often”. It is a simple fact that if we all moved a little more and did it regularly, you will be amazed at how good you can feel, and how easy it can be.

I hope to provide lots of useful information, tips and tools that you can use to help your own body feel, move and function better. Watch our videos, read our blogs on our website and most importantly....... try them. I know if you do, your body will thank you for it.
