If there is one thing I am good at it, it’s overthinking and worrying about things.

I received James Clears newsletter this morning in my emails and it had this quote which really resonated for me. It is also something that I have found works wonders for me.

If you are an overthinker, rather than ruminating on it over and over again, try some movement, and see how it changes.

Walking and my painting are two of the things that work well for me.

Spend some time this weekend thinking about what things may work for you when you start to over think.

Also, if you are stuck on a task or stuck for ideas, movement can also help boost your creativity. I’ve lost count of the number of times a useful idea has popped into my mind when I’m out to my walk.

Every January, I run a simple 6-week challenge for myself.

This year, I’m focusing on strength building, and being more consistent with some Tai Chi movements I’m learning. I’m interested to see how I feel.

School holiday fun with my eldest daughter Bailey.

I highly recommend the Rainbows End twilight pass during the school holidays.

Really good value for 4 hours of rides with not many lines (at least tonight there weren’t many at all).

I think next week is the last week they are doing it.

I had to do one more painting for an upcoming exhibition over New Years.

I like this one, but wish I had done Freddie a little bigger to fill the space better. This is my critical eye though. It still looks cool i think.

Here’s a question for you.

I quite like how these last two playing card paintings have turned out (Elvis and Freddie), and I think this could be a fun series to continue. My question is, what other cards could I do? Who would be good for a Jack? There is always the Joker too. Or are there other kings or queens I could do?

This will give me something to ponder over the holidays.

A little bit about us...

I am a chiropractor, father of 2 beautiful girls, husband and part time artist. My goal is to help people FEEL, MOVE and FUNCTION better. I achieve this through, chiropractic adjustments, exercise/movement prescription and advice. I practice what I preach by getting adjusted, eating well (most of the time) and exercising regularly. We also need to rest and I use my artwork as my way to de-stress.

I like to live by the mantra “Try to move more things, more often”. It is a simple fact that if we all moved a little more and did it regularly, you will be amazed at how good you can feel, and how easy it can be.

I hope to provide lots of useful information, tips and tools that you can use to help your own body feel, move and function better. Watch our videos, read our blogs on our website and most importantly....... try them. I know if you do, your body will thank you for it.
