Ultrasound Hawkes Bay

Hi all, just for anyone who was part of what we had - a little update. We have not posted much at all since leaving Hawkes Bay, with mixed emotions it took a while to adjust and to come to terms with the new reality.

Sooo

This weekend ends the first league of our journey. 5 months in Australia, we have been to (Jody has worked in) Gladstone, Qld, Orange and Dubbo, NSW, Sunshine Coast, Qld, to here in Busselton WA. We have seen many placea in between. We now leave tomorrow for Perth before heading on our next journey on Monday morning.

Our second part takes us for a much needed break/conference to Singapore and Bali, before a quick stint back in Perth for a locum before the biggest Journey. Europe.

This will see us fly to London 🇬🇧 where we have three house sit Jobs over 6 weeks starting in Petersfield and we think Jody may have work in Surrey. He also turns the Big 50 in August so will see him at an English Pub enjoying a pint or two! Then we hit our flight to Amsterdam to begin our amazing River Cruise through 5 countries to Budapest where we will be for my Not quite 50 birthday.

We then fly to Florance 🇮🇹 driving staying in Sienna, montpelier and Luca, lbefore training through Switzerland stopping at St Moritz, Zurich, Basal and ending in Geneva. Our France 🇫🇷 league sees us start in Annecy before training to Lyon to collect our car to drive north through the Chardonnay region over to Bordeaux and down to Bziers and Montpelier heading to Paris 🗼
We then had a gap for three weeks so instead of going back to the UK we have tagged on Norway 🇳🇴 Yup it will be cold 🥶 and dark a lot but a once off opportunity and what better time to see The northern lights. We will fly to Oslo, train to Bergen and back, do the Tromso to Trondheim cruise before flying over to Ireland 🇮🇪 where we have a house sit over Christmas New Year looking after Aussie the Chocolate Lab.

We are looking forward to enjoying this festiv time🍀 in another new Country along with pints of guiness i am sure and the odd Kilkenny.

So there you have it. We miss our kids dearly, friends, clients and our old village but we are doing it, as so many encouraged and enjoying some quality time together.

After 8 1/2 weeks we have left Gladstone Qld and have arrived in Orange NSW (3 flights and 4 airports in one day! Two weeks here, then Dubbo, and then back to Qld to the Sunshine Coast. Orange is the moat similar to Havelock North with 30 plus wineries and beautiful Autumn colours. Missing home a wee bit ☺️

Further to our post in December announcing the sale of our business, we would like to remind everyone that this Friday will be our last day operating as Ultrasound Hawkes Bay.

The positive news is Havelock North retains its ultrasound clinic. Our staff will remain with new owners and the clinic will have a rebrand and be up and running again the week of the 10th February.

This is still very upsetting as we love what we do and the service we provide. We have sponsored and raised money for many things and will miss Havelock as our home for now. We would like to thank you all for your support and will absolutely miss this.

So, for now this is Goodbye from us and thank you again.

CHIRSTMAS HOURS AND CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP FEB 25

We are extremely proud of the service we have provided over the last 4 years, and it is at this time that we are saddened ☹ but excited ⭐ to inform you of our news for next year.
We have sold our ultrasound business, so from February 2025 our clinic will be under new ownership. This was and still is an incredibly hard decision for us.
BUT...The kids have fled the nest, our hair is greying 😝, and before we are too old and unable, we desire to see the world. So that is what are going to do (and no one has said we are mad! - Yet). We are off to travel the world, see different countries and Locum along the way – Yes how exciting ⭐.
The great news is Havelock North will retain its Ultrasound Clinic and continue to provide this much needed service. Again, a big thank you for your support these last few years, we will miss our business and our clients, but excited to start our new adventure together.
We will be closed Monday 23rd December 2024 until Monday 6th January 2025.
For those taking a well-deserved break over the holiday period, I hope it's an opportunity to relax, reflect, and recharge with your friends and family.
Wishing you all a safe and happy break. We will see you back in the January for our final month where business will carry on as usual.
