✨ MEET THE TEAM ✨

She’s a physio, a pilates instructor and never says no to a coffee, meet Steph!

Steph has been a valuable member of the North Waikato Physio team since 2021.
Steph completed her schooling at Huntly College before moving to Auckland to complete her physiotherapy studies. She then returned home to Huntly to start her working career and was the second recipient of the ‘North Waikato Physio New Graduate Scholarship’.

Steph has a wide variety of knowledge, and is always looking to develop her practice. As a part of this, Steph has attended several courses in sports physio and also completed her Mat Pilates Teacher Certification. She takes weekly pilates classes in Huntly which have been growing in popularity! Steph often utilizes these skills and exercises as part of her clinic rehabilitation. She is also the physio for the Taupiri Senior Mens rugby teams, managing injuries and return to play, she thoroughly enjoys the team environment and challenges that come with sports physio. Additionally, Steph is the physiotherapist at the local resthomes (Aparangi and Kimihia) and loves the variety she gets throughout her week.

Outside of work you might find Steph on the netball court, baking or continuing with house renovations!

🌟 MEET THE TEAM 🌟

Physiotherapist, pelvic health physio and lover of cats, meet Linh!

Linh is one of our senior physiotherapists who joined our team in 2019.
Linh is originally from Vietnam and after 5 years living in Europe, she moved to New Zealand to explore a new country, where she is now well and truly settled after her marriage in 2022 in Hamilton.

Linh graduated with a BSc with honours in physiotherapy from Saxion University in the Netherlands in 2016. She has flourished since arriving in NZ, where she is now one of our senior physiotherapists who has completed her Certificate of Manual Therapy. Linh has also developed an interest in Pelvic Health Therapy. After completing several studies under renowned pelvic health NZ specialist Dr Melissa Davidson, Linh has been working as a pelvic health physio for 4 years treating both private and ACC’s maternity birth injury patients. Linh is competent to perform both internal and external pelvic examinations and provide therapeutic treatment to both men and women to overcome their pelvic health issues. She has also taken on her first semester in a pelvic health masters degree from the University of Melbourne. Linh utilises a diverse range of skills as part of her treatment including dry needling and kinseio-taping and is an integral part of the Taupiri womens rugby team, for whom she provides physiotherapy services for.

Outside of work, Linh is an avid chef, often providing us with delectable goodies in the clinic for lunch. She is also a mother of a 2 year old cheeky boy named Nikolaas. Linh is very happy with her new and amazing, yet challenging role of becoming a mother!

🌟 MEET THE TEAM 🌟

First up, meet our Director and Coast to Coast athlete Tim!

Tim has been the principal physiotherapist at North Waikato Physio since October 2012 and in February 2014 he took over ownership of this busy vibrant private practice.
Graduating from Otago University in 2003, Tim moved to Melbourne where he looked after various age group soccer and rugby teams whilst juggling his own state level rugby commitments. For the next 5 years, in between sampling the delights of European life he worked in and ran private practices throughout England. The call of Tim’s native Waikato/BOP region was too hard to resist however so he moved home to the North Waikato.

Tim spreads his time between the main Huntly clinic and in Ngaruawahia at our Durham Precinct Clinic. Tim takes a keen interest in a wide variety of injuries and conditions requiring physiotherapy input, drawing from his international experience and training to give you the best possible recovery/rehabilitation. Tim is trained in acupuncture and frequently uses this age-old technique as part of his treatments. Tim is also our triage physiotherapist for ACC’s ICP Pathway, working closely with fellow health professionals throughout the Waikato in implementing this new pathway.

Outside of work Tim is kept busy with his two young boys, who are experts at eating into his precious fishing time.

To book an appointment with Tim or any of our other physio’s contact us on 07-828 9854.
