***RSV Outbreak*****

There is an outbreak of RSV within the community. Please read the below information carefully if you suspect you, your child or whanau have any viral symptoms.

Remember to stock up on your Panadol and ibuprofen!

New Zealand currently has measles cases linked to overseas travel, and the risk of measles being brought back into New Zealand by travellers remains high. Immunisation is the best protection and will help to prevent the spread of measles in our local communities.

Patients may receive medical advice from HealthLine on 0800 611 116 or for those who need to seek medical assistance this can be sourced via Telehealth from Ka Ora via 0800252672 or through St John 111.

It is anticipated some services will resume at 9am tomorrow morning.

Important Patient Notice – Temporary System Upgrade Outage

Our practice is upgrading our patient management system to improve efficiency and future services. As part of this upgrade, there will be a short period where we will not have access to patient records.

📅 Outage period:

• From Friday 26 September, 5:00pm until Monday 29 September, after midday.

During this time:
• We will not be able to book or change appointments.
• We cannot check results or access patient records.
• We will be unable to generate prescriptions
• The Manage My Health (MMH) portal will not connect to our system. Any requests made in MMH over the weekend will not reach us until the upgrade is complete on Monday afternoon.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience while we complete this important system upgrade.

Influenza/flu - please read the post below. This has some great information on protecting yourself, your whanau and anyone close to you within the community!

You may have noticed an increase in Flu cases across Otago; many children and adults are being hit hard with this.
We have had an influx of calls to our center regarding the Flu, and we want to help you to know how you can protect yourself and others when you do become unwell.

RAT tests are available to purchase from us at a cost of $10, this will test for Influenza A & B, Covid and RSV, if you require one, please contact reception on 03 4882754

While the flu can be awful, the best thing you can do is stay home, rest and stay hydrated.
