I’ve worn out my original Deep Raglan sweater 🙈 I still love to wear it often but she’s ready to retire from going to knitting markets with me.
So I’m putting together a parcel for a wonderful sample knitter to whip up a new one for you to squish! So excited about this lush olive colour and I couldn’t go past the incredible possum/silk blend again.
As much as I want to knit it myself, my needles are full of new designs and they’re begging to be finished. I’m a little jealous that someone else gets to enjoy this gorgeous yarn 😻

Most popular patterns in 2026 🤩
The Mini Love Bomber is always popular and this chunky knit looks adorable on kids 😻
Gather Sleeve Cardi is a great one with sleeve gathers for a touch of fun
Core Sweater was a new release last year and those cuffs are everything 🥰
Leg Warmers are so adorable and come in plain or cable options
Broken Rib Hat is super versatile and one you’ll make over and over again. Includes instructions for several yarn weights for stash busting power!
The Mohair Sweater was also a new one last year and it’s like a big hug in sweater form. I wear mine constantly during winter!

I’ve enjoyed a little summer break, but there’s a new design coming together and I’m excited about it. Hopefully it’ll be ready in time for a southern hemisphere autumn 🍂

New pattern release 🎉 Introducing the Tri Tone Sweater knitting pattern.
I used Eden 4ply held double with lace weight mohair and it’s so lush 🥰 but you can also use DK yarn by itself if you don’t want to hold double.
The design was inspired by the toffee colour on the cuff 🤩 I love the colour but it doesn’t suit my skin tone, so this was a fun way to use the colour anyway while placing it away from my face. What colours would you choose?

It’s all about the details ❤️ Plus a from the lovely 🤩👏
Summer is approaching here and I spent a lot of yesterday knitting in the garden. I call it my “outdoor lounge” now and even moved some pot plants out there. Our wood-chopping block has temporarily become my coffee table and I might try to find a little outdoor rug.
I also took a moment yesterday to decide on how I want to wrap the new scissor collection for postage. I want all your orders to feel like a gift because I truly believe that we need more moments that say “I see you and you matter”. So I’m looking forward to you receiving these little parcels x

Knitting Patterns

Purl Foundry started when I couldn’t find 100% woollen knitwear in retail stores. All the sweaters were acrylic which doesn’t keep you warm and doesn’t last well. The only solution was to knit something! But it had to look as good as the retail ones.

This continues to be my driving force with every design. Value is placed on wearability, longevity and simplicity.

I’ve also got a real soft spot for beginner knitters, so I’m always looking for ways to help. That’s why each pattern has links to video tutorials and I’ve introduced “layered sizing”, which means each size within the pattern can be hidden from view, or made visible again with the click of a button. No more trying to remember which size you’re making or hunting for it amongst the numbers and brackets. So you can stay in your creative flow for longer.
