Things may not have turned out the way you expected but trust the Universe has something better in store for you. How is my fellow Aqua's this birthday month ? I don't know if I'm a typical Aquarius. As I'm in the cusp I do take on some Pisces qualities too. i.e. I could be quite stubborn at times (fixed air sign) but I generally tend to go with the flow (mutable water sign) ..
