It was great to see what the teams at Hack Taranaki developed in response to the challenge presented by Taranaki DHB about hospital navigation and missed appointments. And interesting to reflect on how far we have come.

It has been an incredible year! Didn't think at the start of this year that I would travel to Silicon Valley, do a TEDx talk, or win young Wellingtonian of the year.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make it all happen, and can't wait to see what 2017 brings!

Great to have two of the team attending the Kiwi Landing Pad's sales and marketing jam event in Wellington today. More connections made with Silicon Valley too.

And I have applied to be a presenter at Stanford MedX. It's a long shot, but would be well worth the trip. Based around the TED conferences, it brings together emerging technologies and medicine. You can read more here: http://medicinex.stanford.edu/

According to social media analytics firm Symplur, as a patient-centric healthcare IT conference, Medicine X “Sets the bar higher”. Higher in terms of setting a new world record in engagement, social media discussions, and sustained conversations after the conference ended.

He went hospital for a routine appointment. A cleaner found him unconscious the next day.

Off to Auckland for a few days. Hoping to get stage 1 of the Wellbands build completed, and make some more new friends. Wish me luck!

Prototyping band hardware is really moving along. So grateful to have awesome help with this. And the first of our beacons arrived today. Business Week NZ this coming week, and getting a first look at how our real time location system will work is next weeks goal. Then its on to working up the real version of band itself, and app design. Wellbands is moving from paper to a product fast, but still lots of work to go!
