Heya, my name is Erin and i am the co founder of BurntLab fitness and nutrition. I am a registered nurse, a provisional sports nutritionist and a mummy to my gorgeous baby girl and fur baby.
For as long as I remember i have been involved in the fitness world, starting as a baby on sidelines to my own experience in team and individual sports as an athlete and coach. At the age of 17 i joined my first gym and immediately fell in love.
I first became aware of nutrition through the sport of competitive bodybuilding, competing in both bikini and figure with IFBB and NABBA. After providing close friends and family with some small tips and seeing how these small changes made big differences, grew their confidence and improved health outcomes i new i had to do and learn more. I studied and am registered with SNA.
My mission is to guide and support people to live balanced, healthy lives and improve their lifestyles both physically and mentally. I strive to educate my clients and empower them with the skills they need to take control for themselves.
I am currently in my postpartum journey and enjoying what it means to be a first time mum. Prioritising my nutrition and training helps manage my symptoms of endometriosis and provides an output while allowing me to do something for me. Becoming a mum is hard and it is really easy to get caught up in caring for your little one and forgetting or neglecting the things you once did for yourself.
I myself found this challenging, especially after a rough pregnancy and initial postpartum. Returning back to the gym in my post pregnancy body was challenging to say the least but eating right for me and achieving my goals while seeing the physical and mental growth was worth it. As women our bodies do amazing things and it’s inspiring to see what i can achieve now and what my little one can learn through my fitness journey.
I hope my girl and all who interact with us at BurntLab are reminded that we are not defined by our experience nor do they break us but make us stronger. I want her to see our strength so she knows that she is capable of anything.
