Important to know when the right time for riding has come!!!

Start slow, train slow! Set your horse up to be physically well his whole life, not just for show season expectations when they are young.

Amalia Bastos has now been training with me for 10 months and has reached a milestone from being a true beginner to an accomplished horse woman. She has been learning free horsemanship using her body language to transferring this to lunging, maintaining the same body language and then progressing to work in-hand and riding, now being introduced to holding 2 reins the conventional way and according to "Ecuyer en chef"James Fillis, a French/English riding master, a method these days used in the "School of Lightness" by Philipe Karl. My Lipizzaner x girls Beata and Belleza, being very young pupils themselves, have done an amazing job teaching Amalia and other clients the art of Classical Dressage. Also, my dear friend and pupil Julia (Finnie Lee) has kindly made her WB/TB boy Troy available for lessons. Kindly Patrick Wood has been documenting Amalias Progress with his beautiful photos. All in all, a team effort of horses and people to get you where you are today Amalia. You are one amazing student!!!! Very proud of you 🙂
