What a day, whānau!
Our staff kicked things off, people came in for their measles immunisations, there was singing, dancing, sausage sizzle vibes, even the neighbours came over instead of calling noise control on Rowie! 😂

Free measles support is always here at Korowai Aroha, come in and kōrero anytime

“Because I’m too old to have digital medical records 🤣 and I can only recall having a single MMR vaccine, I chose to have another shot today 🩼

The main reason is because my bro is immunocompromised, therefore he is unable to receive the vaccine, so the best thing I can do to protect him from this dumb as hara that is going around, is to make sure I’m vaccinated for him…he can’t get the shot, but I can get it for him ❤️

Also I would like to add that I’m not old enough to not have the vaccine at all 🤣 (all those born before 1969).

I know there is lots of mistrust around immunisations and vaccinations, however, if you need an MMR dose and would like one, Korowai Aroha is running a clinic this Saturday from 10am-1pm, 1292 Hinemoa St, Rotorua…open to all.

Kei a koutou te tikanga 🙂”
