Hi everyone 👋

We just wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to all the amazing individuals who have visited so far! Your love and support since we started this journey in March has been incredible 🥰.

As the little family hanging out behind The Sauna Project Rotorua, we thought we should introduce ourselves. We’re Bill, Allie, and our twin daughters Willow and Freya.

Our passion for sauna began when we attended the first , and we instantly fell in love with the community and values that represents! We’d travel from Rotorua to to experience this bliss every week.

For us, sauna is about more than just the physical experience – it’s about the sense of community and belonging that comes with it 🤲. A place where everyone is welcome and valued, regardless of their differences. Moments for our self, together
A type of connection that is healing.

So decisions were made and space was created to bring The Sauna Project Rotorua to life and we have landed in a pretty cool spot

Since launching in March we have met some beautifully open minded folk, keen to share the bliss of sauna. Some who’ve never tried sauna before who leave wanting to incorporate it into their weekly ritual & some well seasoned users who beg for the heat to be cranked right up
birthday parties, private groups, events and everything in between; all of you contribute to this awesome Sauna community we have forming out here at Lake Tikitapu — we are so grateful for it!

One month in and what an exciting month it has been, in this beautiful little corner of Lake Tikitapu!

We are so beyond stoked to have met so many open minded people willing to step into the sauna, perhaps stepping out of their own comfort, to try something new— some of who have already established an incredible sauna routine; joining us not once but many times through the week 🥵

We’ve learnt a lot this first month, especially from the well seasoned sauna users who’ve stopped by to try, from Finland, Germany, Japan, Ireland & Russia all offering us a little slice of their own sauna culture. Thank you 🥰

The massively positive feedback, your well wishes, bringing friends, and offers of assistance have truly made this an experience beyond what we imagined.
We are grateful for each and everyone of you for your contributions into making this a safe space for people to reconnect with nature and themselves.
