Build a bridge day! Today was world engineering day so we decided to give it a go. Harder than you think. The winners were Coleen, Ann and Mary for their amazing v-shaped construction! Second place was Keith, Pauline and Lois for their long ramp affect. Third place goes to (Pam and Richard) with a pile of sticks, which they claim was the result of an earthquake lol.

Some of us brave staff volunteered to be hit with noodles and water guns in a silly game of whack-a-mole. There was a few shots to the eyes (hence my eye make up), some to the ears and even the bottom (not sure why)? So much hysterical laughter by all.
So nice to have so many residents outside enjoying our lovely courtyard yard on a nice warm day.

What else do you do in this weather? A good challenging game of indoor Badminton! Ladies verses men!

Great men’s group today, out on the lawn in the sun playing a very competitive game of Pétanque. Followed by a well earned ice cream.
We were very fortunate to have some lovely young lads both yesterday and today to volunteer their time to come along and help out.
They helped take down Christmas decorations yesterday with some of the residents and today they tried their best to compete against the men in Pétanque.
It was so nice to see the interaction between the twins and our residents.

Fantastic afternoon today….. ice creams out at Littleton to see the huge Cruise ship the Anthem of the sea. If you look closely you can see a huge arm with a glass ball on the end. This is an observation platform. We watched people go in and then the arm go up to 91 meters above sea level. Fascinating to see.
