Lighting the Way: The White Matter Brain Cancer Trust

In the face of a primary brain cancer diagnosis, finding moments of peace, comfort, and joy can seem impossible. Yet, this is precisely the vital work being done by the White Matter Brain Cancer Trust.
This local and worthy organisation is dedicated to supporting patients and their families, ensuring that even during the most challenging times, they are still able to experience the little moments of light that make life meaningful.
The Trust understands that battling brain cancer involves more than just medical treatment; it requires emotional and practical support to maintain a sense of dignity and quality of life.
Their mission is centred on providing resources and assistance that help patients and their loved ones navigate this difficult journey.

A Mammoth Effort for a Meaningful Cause
To help sustain this crucial work, supporters like Jane Haughey, General Manager of Archer Villages and Care Homes, step up to take on big challenges. Jane has been a long-time supporter of the Trust, and this year, she's turning her commitment into an enormous physical feat: running the Auckland Marathon on Sunday, November 2nd.

Jane is deep in training for what she calls a "perfect opportunity to give something back." She recognises that her run is a chance to raise essential funds "to people during such a challenging time in their lives and the lives of their families."

Jane's mammoth undertaking highlights the significance of the Trust's work. Every kilometre she runs helps ensure the White Matter Brain Cancer Trust can continue to be a beacon of hope, providing necessary resources and support to those facing an overwhelming diagnosis.

From the Grapevine

As individuals approach retirement, the prospect of leaving behind the responsibilities of maintaining a home becomes increasingly appealing. One significant reason many retirees opt for a move to a retirement village is the liberation from the ongoing burdens of home maintenance. We explore this idea in our latest website article entitled 'No More Gutter Cleaning!' Read more here: https://bit.ly/3SVr8lC
