Went to the Greerton branch of social club, and wow, its gone from dark and dead to vibey with humans! Pleasant surprise and it really counts to hire good staff. The service was great, the manager friendly and chatty with all the guests. But let's get to the food....

We chose:
PIZZA - had a deal so it was $21, and delicious! After our recent New York pizza experience its hard to measure up. Although not in that camp, wood fired pizza very tasty!
SOCIAL SALAD - this was HUGE. enough for two absolutely.
TACOS - a soft taco (yay, authenticity counts). We chose chicken and a chorizo. Simple, fresh,

Cocktails are creative and delicious, and a cocktail for the bub wasn't shabby either. Top it off with colourful ambience and good spaces where you can be social or hide away. Worth a visit!

Trying Friends Cafe! There are still First Table openings in Papamoa!!

Menu choices tonight were:

FISH N CHIPS
NEPALI DUMPLINGS
GRILLED SALMON W AVOCADO SALSA

$86 including drinks with First Table feeding four humans 😁

Okay okay Dumpling Delight!! Tried your dumplings, stir fry noodles, and hit and sour soup recently. You can literally smell the crisp edges and juicy filling of dumplings before they even land on the table. The stir fried noodles were WOW. The soup was perfect level of shiscuan hotness!! taste is next-level. Loved how the dumpling skins are golden and crunchy on the bottom yet soft and silky on top, the perfect contrast.

Value-wise, $19.80 for 12 pan fried dumplings is great. The portions of the noodles and soup are generous enough to share (though you’ll want to keep them all to yourself).

Dumpling Delight has nailed the trifecta: aroma, flavour, and value of both dumplings, noodles and soup, and at lunchtimei can see many orhers agree. We will definitely be back for more!

Enjoyed CRISPY CHICKEN BOWL & PRAWN CHORIZO PASTA on the strand tonight. Full of flavour, great music and ambience and friendly service! Thank you First Table !

Winding i to the end of the week, we've been so impressed with The Raft - Sports Cafe & Bar on Chapel St that we've hit it twice in a fortnight. Not to mention they are on and run some down right solid fun for families and locals.

This CHEESE PIZZA and BUFFALO WINGS were finger licking good!! The JALAPEÑO POPPERS are mouthwatering!

Okay okay while we on a roll with good lunch hits in Tauranga, and a decent out the office work spot (love the plug ports on ling seating) is Columbus Coffee in Mitre 10, Greerton.

CHORIZO HASH: Chorizo, roasted potato, tomato, whipped feta, red onion, spinach, fried egg & crispy shallots. Add haloumi, extra egg if you feeling it!

Staff are really friendly and the hubby was happy builder shopping while I munched and worked. Perfect!

Another great lunch spot down at Tauranga Historic Village....freshest sushi and an amazing Poké bowl menu!

Fresh Fish and Chips and a great kids cheese burger!!!! Stunning views of Maketū and the litter patter od seagull feet on the roof.

First Table visit to this neat local bar and restaurant made for some very happy tummies!

Tonight we chose:
NACHOS
BUFFALO WINGS W BLUE CHEESE
CLASSIC MAC N CHEESE
JALAPEÑO POPPERS

Wings so good hubby went a round two. Nachos so good I couldn't finish (good guacamole). Mac so good the pink lemonade was unfinished.

Lovely staff who informed us of their BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH Fri and Sat. Can't go wrong.

We went to the Tauranga branch in the CBD. A truly authentic experience.!!

Served Jasmine tea on arrival, Chinese decor adorning the walls and a full menu organised largely into flavours. One or two chilling symbols to denote hotness.

Sichuan has a chilli pepper like flavour that leaves your tongue a bit numb. We love it.

Tonight we tried TRADITIONAL SICHUAN STYLE NOODLES.

Delicious!!!! Will be back to try more including some of the vegetarian dishes.
