Art Of Living Foundation New Zealand Non-profit, humanitarian & educational NGO offering wellbeing Programs for children, teens and adults.

Founded in 1981 by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the organisation operates globally and has centres in 180 countries. The Foundation has had an active presence in Aotearoa, New Zealand since the late 1990s and continues to support our local communities to implement diverse humanitarian projects and community-based service initiatives that support the wellbeing of our children, teens, adults and senior citizens across all cultures, race, religions and backgrounds. The Foundation has been dedicated to serving society by strengthening the individual through highly effective educational and self-development programs that eliminate stress, and foster deep and profound inner peace. These programs incorporate innovative and powerful breathing techniques, yoga, meditation and practical wisdom for daily living that systematically release mental, emotional and physical stress. Our philosophies are based on a whole community approach that makes changes to the systems that influence and holistically support the overall health and wellbeing of individuals, their families and communities at large. The Foundation's diverse humanitarian projects and community-based service initiatives include conflict resolution, disaster relief programs, sustainable development initiatives, women empowerment, youth leadership, prisoner rehabilitation, opportunities for education in low socio- economic areas and environmental sustainability. The aim of the Foundation is to create a stress-free and violence-free society, with a vision of individual and social stewardship in society and the world at large. So when you regulate your nervous system , you ripple that regulation into your home, your relationships, your environment.
And when groups of people do that together? The ripple gets bigger.

Your meditation doesn't heal you.
It stabilizes you, as well as the space you're part of.
It becomes an act of love, quietly benefitting people who may never know your name but will feel the difference in the air around them.

You don't have to believe every claim.
You just have to acknowledge what you already feel:

A person at peace changes a room.
A community at peace changes a city.
A city at peace changes a country....
And a country at peace? Is free.

And it all starts with a single breath. 🙏🏾

Did you know that a small group of people sitting in silence could influence the emotional climate of an entire city.

Researchers actually tested it.

In several U.S. cities, they gathered people trained in meditation and had them meditate daily for a set window of time. They then tracked measurable, real-world indicators in the city:
- crime rates
- violent incidents
- accident reports
- hospital admissions

The prediction was simple:

If roughly 1% of a population meditates consistently, the collective stress of the area begins to drop.

During the meditation windows, something strange happened:

Crime rates dropoed
Reports of violent incidents dropped
Reports of accidental emergencies decreased..... all significantly.

Whether you believe in "energy fields or not" .... we all know one truth:

Humans affect each other.
Stress spreads like a virus.
And so does calm.

So when you regulate your nervous system , you ripple that regulation into your home, your relationships, your environment.
