Head Shape Tells a Story—Are You Listening?

Your baby’s head shape reflects what’s happening underneath—at the level of the cranial bones, nervous system, and muscle tone. When there is asymmetry, it can influence feeding, posture, motor milestones, and overall neurological development.

Early evaluation allows us to determine whether what you’re seeing is simply variation—or a sign that gentle support is needed.

The earlier we recognize imbalance, the easier it is to restore symmetry and function.

“The journey of motherhood doesn’t end with birth—it transforms. The days and weeks after delivery, known as the 'fourth trimester,' are a sacred window of physical healing, emotional recalibration, and identity reshaping. Yet for many mothers, this period feels less like a supported cocoon and more like a lonely island.

In many traditional cultures, postpartum is a time when the mother is deeply nurtured by her community—fed, massaged, and nourished so she can rest and bond with her baby. But in today’s culture, postpartum mothers are often left to navigate sleepless nights, hormonal shifts, and recovery from birth with little support.

It’s time we shift the narrative. Postpartum recovery isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. Here’s how new mothers can advocate for themselves by prioritizing healing, and how families, communities, and professionals can support them in doing so."

The fourth trimester is a vital window of healing and transformation for mothers, yet many navigate it without the support their bodies and nervous systems truly need. This article explores how rest, community care, nourishing practices, and supportive therapies can help mothers recover, reconnect, and thrive in early postpartum—keep reading “Thriving in the Fourth Trimester: A Guide to Postpartum Recovery and Support” by Alyssa McPeak, DC now: https://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/pregnancy-birth/thriving-in-the-fourth-trimester-a-guide-to-postpartum-recovery-and-support.html

Children are not broken—they are developing.

When interference disrupts the communication between the brain and body, we begin to see tension, imbalance, and compensation. Pediatric chiropractic isn’t about fixing a child. It’s about identifying and correcting the interference so their nervous system can organize and function the way it was designed to.

Free the system, and development follows.

When we adjust the spine, we change the brain.

That’s why many people feel immediately brighter after an adjustment. Chiropractic doesn’t only affect your spine, it impacts your whole body wellbeing.

Great post from Wild Roots Chiropractic about torticollis or head tilt 👶

Torticollis can be one of the most stressful and confusing diagnoses for parents. 😔

You notice your baby prefers one side, struggles to turn their head, or seems uncomfortable, but here's what you're not told:

👉 The root cause of torticollis is often neurological, not just muscular.
Birth interventions like forceps, vacuum extraction, or C-section can create tension and misalignments in your baby’s neck and upper spine that affect how their muscles and nervous system work together.

👉 It’s often missed by pediatricians.
Many mild or moderate cases of torticollis fly under the radar until they start showing up later as delayed milestones, colic, ear infections, or even sleep struggles.

👉 Stretching alone isn’t always enough.
While at-home exercises can help, they don’t always get to the root of the issue. Without addressing the underlying nerve and muscle tension, progress can be slow or short-lived.

👉 There’s a better way forward.
Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care helps release that tension, restore balance, and support healthy movement and development.
