Weekly activities include games, crafts, gentle exercise, lively chats, and a shared meal, all fostering joy, friendship, and community.

Communicare provides Total Mobility Assessments to help eligible people especially seniors access discounted taxi fares through the Auckland Transport Total Mobility Scheme.

If you or someone you know finds it difficult or is unable to use public transport, you may qualify for 75% off taxi fares to stay connected with your community.

Assessments are quick, friendly, and designed to support your independence.

🕷️🎃 Halloween Haunts & Happiness at Pakuranga! 🎃🕷️

The Pakuranga Senior Friendship Centre was buzzing with boos and bursting with joy as our members celebrated Halloween in style!

From spooky decorations to fang-tastic costumes, it was a day full of laughter, games, and togetherness.

The room was filled with smiles, spooky surprises, and a wonderful sense of community. Everyone embraced the Halloween spirit with creativity and cheer!

Special Visit at Mt Roskill Friendship Centre!

We were delighted to welcome Carlos Cheung MP for Mt Roskill , to our Mt Roskill Friendship Centre! It was a heartwarming time filled with laughter, conversation, and connection. Carlos joined in on the fun, taking part in exercises, enjoying chats over a cuppa, and even making Christmas cards with our members.

Moments like these remind us of the joy and connection our centres bring to the community. Thank you, Carlos, for spending time with us and sharing in the spirit of friendship!

Empowering Seniors at Howick Senior Friendship Centre!

We were delighted to welcome Gill Gilder, ASB Bank Community Banker, who gave an insightful talk on scams and fraud prevention. Her presentation helped raise awareness about common fraud tactics and how to stay safe online and offline.
