Applied Movement Claire Akin-Smith
Personal development and lifestyle coach.
Helping people love their life and live their purpose through personalising by aligning with their biological design.

They're all different and have their own reasons for seeking true health and potential in life. What ever you are you need your mental and physical systems to be energised for life in every season and at every era of it. The Movers are doing. Full on life as an energiser bunny. Always wanting more, extreme, radical, innovative. They love the freedom of movement, but they want to go further, go faster, gain efficiency and avoid burnout. Too often limited with a body suffering the result of insufficient ineffective recharging creating disaster for their mental wellbeing and life output. The Dreamers are brave, they're the ones who think "I wonder if..." can I step out and do...? Can I change? When physically and mentally conditioned to have confidence and capability to follow through, this brings results to the dreams they have for every area of their life. And the Game Changers. They're unsatisfied. They've been told no by the "experts", by worldly consensus and stereotyping. They've been failed by the system or are unable to fully achieve through no fault of their own, rather they just didn’t know what was exactly needed for them to thrive. It's the Movers, Dreamers and Game Changers that make my job fantastic. I'd love to support you to living and working in your unique potential. . I have a life time as an endurance athlete, 20 years of high level clinical physiotherapy, an MSc, knowledge and expertise in personalised health/precision performance and the use of tools and technology to accurately assess and empower restoration and belief and habit change based on genetic and lifestyle predispositions. A personal passion for energising people through teaching, strategising, coaching and leading by example. And most of all a wisdom founded in a deep love for realising the potential in people that I was born to share. I put theory into practice for individuals, relationships and teams.

I used to think my perfectionism was keeping me safe in my comfort zone.
Turns out, I had it completely backwards.
The perfectionist’s “comfort” zone is actually the most uncomfortable place to live, because nothing ever feels good enough, done enough, or ready enough.

Here’s what really happens:
Perfection alarm goes off (this needs to be flawless!)
Procrastination kicks in (I’ll start when I have more time/energy/clarity)
Paralysis sets in (now it’s too late to do it properly)

Repeat with extra shame sprinkled on top.

Sound exhausting? That’s because it is.
There Is Another Way
Imperfect action could actually be your path to confidence, momentum, and real results!

Your invitation
In this Thursday’s “Permission to Be Human” 45 minute workshop, you will experience this firsthand. We are not just talking about perfectionism, we are practicing a different way of being.

What to expect:
Insights into how your biological drives include the safety mechanism of perfectionism
Exercises that shift your self-talk in real-time
A 4-minute “Participation Experiment” that proves action beats rumination
Your personalised Good Enough standard for one high-pressure area of life

When: Thursday 7th August 12 noon nz
Where: Online (link sent on registration)
Investment: Complimentary

This isn’t about lowering your standards, it’s about creating workable ones that honour your values AND your real-world resources.

In 45 minutes, you’ll walk away with a personalised action plan and a clear next step to break free from perfectionism’s grip.

P.S. Think you won’t have the “right” interactions or won’t show up perfectly? Then you are exactly who this workshop is designed for.

And if you know someone who might be interested in attending this workshop please forward this post to them.
They will thank you.
