Africa has transitioned from intent to ex*****on activating its ambitions at scale.

Across markets and sectors, technology is moving from pilots to deployment: powering digital infrastructure, public platforms, enterprise systems, and startup ecosystems at scale. What connects these efforts is not geography, but alignment: governments, operators, investors, and innovators advancing together.

GITEX AFRICA sits at this intersection. A platform where Africa’s technology agenda is shaped through implementation, collaboration, and real outcomes across enterprise, startups, infrastructure, and policy.

This is where Africa scales forward.

March is here, and Deep Tech Week NYC 2026 is approaching fast.

From March 30–April 3 in New York City, Smart Cities Council is proud to be part of a week bringing together scientists, founders, engineers, investors, and policymakers shaping the next generation of cities, infrastructure, and industry.

For the Smart Cities Council community, Deep Tech Week is where frontier innovation meets real-world deployment — from AI-native infrastructure and advanced computing to climate resilience, clean energy, urban systems, and next-generation digital governance.

It is also a chance to engage with leaders and organisations already helping drive these conversations, including Andreessen Horowitz, Forma Prime, Infleqtion, and HAX.

The wider ecosystem behind the week is equally compelling, with support and momentum from organisations such as JPMorgan Chase, UBS, SOSV, Quantonation, Hof Capital, OneSixOne, Everstar, Ligandal, and Psymed Ventures.

For city leaders, planners, technologists, developers, investors, and innovators in the Smart Cities Council network, this is a valuable opportunity to connect with the people and platforms helping shape safer, smarter, and more sustainable cities.

If you’re planning to attend Deep Tech Week, now is the time to register, build your profile, and start planning the conversations you want to be part of.

We look forward to seeing this ecosystem come together in New York.

Introducing Middle East Discovery Week at AIM Congress 2026 (Dubai)

Following the launch of SCC’s 2026 Global Events Calendar and the SCC Global Pavilion at AIM Congress 2026, we’re pleased to introduce an expanded engagement pathway for members: Middle East Discovery Week.

AIM Congress (13–15 April 2026, Dubai) convenes 12,000+ investors, government and industry leaders — a powerful platform for global visibility.
Middle East Discovery Week is designed for organisations seeking more than event attendance — offering structured ecosystem exposure and market understanding, including:

• Free Zone + regulatory briefings
• market entry and scaling insights
• government and ecosystem engagement sessions
• strategic networking environments
• exposure to regional innovation leaders and partners
Rather than promising transactional outcomes, the focus is on understanding the environment, building contextual knowledge, and developing informed pathways for future engagement — before making larger commercial commitments.

Dubai and the UAE are positioning strongly in AI, smart infrastructure, digital twins, mobility, climate tech and deep tech — and Discovery Week provides a structured way to explore the opportunity with clarity.

Two complementary pathways at AIM 2026:
• SCC Global Pavilion: exhibition presence, brand visibility, on-the-ground representation
• Middle East Discovery Week: market insight, ecosystem exposure, structured engagement across government, Free Zones and industry networks

Early confirmation allows SCC to align briefings, coordinate participation, and position delegates effectively across both pathways.
