so thankful that I don’t have miss a single moment with these two. Not a single birthday, holiday, milestone, good morning squeeze or kiss goodnight.

Honestly, this is a gift I thought I’d never have as a nurse. Never in a million years. I thought I’d miss almost everything 😭 I remember being so heart broken thinking about all the special day-to-day moments that I would miss with my family 💔

I don’t say these things to make any mama feel shame or guilt because we do what we have to do and what we’ve been called to do. So if you are where God has called you to be, this word isn’t for you.

This encouragement is for the mamas out there who are like I was. You feel the tug in your heart to stay at home, to start something new, to homeschool, etc but you’re scared of taking that first step and so you just stay where you are because it’s comfortable. I’m here to encourage you to get out of your comfort zone, to make the sacrifices that feel impossible, pursue the things that God has laid on your heart even if it’s something you thought you’d never do in a million years or if it’s something you think you’ll never be successful at. I’m here to remind you, our God is in the business of doing the impossible, of making a way when there feels like there is no way, of taking our sacrifices and providing in ways unimaginable. All we have to do is submit, lean not on our understanding, and trust in Him.

If you feel that tug, no matter what it is, put a step forward in that direction today, mama. He will part the waters. All He needs is our yes 😭

I’ve never once regretted our yes to His leading with Young Living and God has been so so so faithful every step of the way. I’m blown away by His provision and His grace 😭😭😭😭

To be honest, when emeth was harbor’s age we didn’t spend much time outside. I wasn’t afraid for her to get dirty I just didn’t understand the importance. I didn’t make it a priority, but made up a lot of excuses. We went out in the afternoons when Ryan came home from work, but during the day hardly at all 🙊 hello new mom, trying to figure out the work from home life.

We’ve come a long way. Which is what motherhood is! You live and grow and learn and change and realize the things you thought were big issues really are not and some things you didn’t think mattered all that much really are some of the most important things for their development.

Now? They’re both outside more than they’re inside. I just accept dirty as normal and we have designated play clothes that don’t match and are hideous if you ask me 😂 but it doesn’t matter!!! If they didn’t get dirty today then did they really play? Did they really live life?

Kiddos need to get dirty! They need to be outside. They need freedom and fresh air and wide open spaces where they can be themselves and play without a ton of rules and “borders”. Can all of us mamas just collectively agree to let our kids be kids again!?! 😭

I fell behind in my Bible reading plan honestly because my priorities got out of order, but here we are chugging right along.

I think satan takes full advantage of the discouragement that can often come with a yearly Bible reading plan. If we miss a few days or weeks it’s easy to believe his lies that we’ll “never catch up” and we “might as well quit”.

No, satan. I might be way behind, but the last thing I’m gonna do is bow to your lies because I know no matter how far behind I am the Lord WILL be faithful to speak to me and I need to know Him more intimately and hear Him more clearly today more than ever.

If you’re behind too, let’s cheer each other on! Let’s stay the course, let’s pick up the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God He has so graciously given us and stand strong against the enemy.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” -Ephesians 6:5

✨to be continued TONIGHT LIVE around 8:30 PM EST ✨

I started working for Young Living 2.5 years ago with VERY little experience using essential oils and very little knowledge on toxin free living. I just knew I wanted to learn how to do things more naturally and I had watched some close friends embark on the journey, be uber successful, and it looked like SO MUCH FUN to me that I couldn’t help but inquire. I knew it was going to be a learning curve and a challenge on so many levels but I wanted so badly to stay home with our babies, be actively involved in ministry with Ryan, and help contribute financially.

Did I have hesitancies? Yes
Am I a natural sales person? NO
Was I scared? Yes
Did I have all the answers? No
Did I have any doubts I would be successful? Yes
Would I have ever guessed my nursing career would lead me here? Never in a million years
Am I thankful it did? Beyond thankful
Do I have any regrets today? Only 1...that I didn’t start SOONER. Really.

To tell you this business and community has been a blessing in my life is the biggest understatement. I thank God every single day for a job that I absolutely love. A job that brings me more joy than I could have ever imagined. A job that I have THE hardest time taking breaks from because I love it so much. A job that is so life giving and rewarding. A job that has never felt like a job. A job that gives me the opportunity to help families, often desperate, find answers and natural support for their problems. A job that hasn’t robbed me from time away my babies 😭😭😭

I’m going to be on here live tonight sharing my journey with this business and this incredibly generous company. I’ll share some hesitancies that Ryan and I had in the beginning, how we overcame those, the requirements to get started (so cheap!) and what I believe it takes to be successful. I can tell you one thing I know for certain.....ANYONE can do this and be successful. “But Hannah, I ____”. I said anyone and I truly mean it.

Life is messy. We are messy people. I’m so thankful for a God who sees our mess & loves us still. Thankful for a welcoming God who stands with open arms who doesn’t distance Himself from me.

I’ve been thinking over & over lately how Christ might have dealt with this pandemic. He was always the FIRST to minister to those who society didn’t want to be near. He wasn’t afraid to sit with the sinner, touch the leprous, the demoniac child, the lady with fever, or for the sick to touch him. When Jesus ministered to the people His blessings were often accompanied by acts of physical contact.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if He had been afraid of the people? of their diseases? fever? their outward appearance? their past? What if He had stayed inside a home with cloth around His face & His hands? What if He had said “I’ll be out doing my work”, but whenever you crossed paths with Him He never made eye contact or spoke to you? What if He asked everyone to stand 6ft away? Not to touch Him, shake His hand, or hug Him? What if the teaching gatherings had been canceled? What if He had done His weekly work but thought it was too risky to gather with believers on Sunday? too risky to invite someone for a meal?

IF He had followed the cultural norms of His day, IF His ministry looked like this there would have been countless men women & children who would have missed the physical & spiritual healing He came to bring.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes, there’s a degree of wisdom we must exercise but I also believe that if we are to be the hands + feet of Christ we’ve gotta roll our sleeves up & get dirty. We have to be willing to take risks. We have to take up our crosses daily & GET OUT of our comfort zones for the sake of the Gospel. I fear if we continue in the way our government & culture is leading & continue to let FEAR rule in our hearts we’re gonna miss out on the rich blessings that come along with unity + community and many many many people are going to go without without experiencing the love of Christ. Let’s commit to letting God guide our steps in 2021, not the government or culture.

when did it ever become a thing that we need 1,000 different cleaners to clean our home?
