A woman who had her transfer on January 31, 2026, announced a successful pregnancy on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2026.
The pregnancy was confirmed through a pregnancy test two weeks after the transfer.

She received two rounds of Korean acupuncture at the Makati branch to prepare for pregnancy before the embryo transfer from Dr.Min.

She is also the mother of a two-year-old son, having successfully conceived via IVF after two rounds of Korean acupuncture with Dr. Min in August 2022.

She loves children and a harmonious family, and chose IVF for a second time to have a second child. She also successfully conceived via IVF.

Good news for women struggling with infertility!
Last Saturday (January 24th 2026), a Filipino woman visited our clinic. She received two sessions of Korean acupuncture treatments for in vitro fertilization (IVF) in August 2022, became pregnant immediately, and now has a two-year-old son. She returned to our clinic for a second IVF cycle in 2026 and again received two acupuncture treatments. She is scheduled for a transplant tomorrow, and this time, she hopes to have twins. We are looking forward to hearing good news again.

NEW: Teenagers who experience moderate or severe period pain are significantly more likely to develop chronic pain in adulthood, including pain beyond the pelvis.

As children and young people return to school this week, the findings offer a timely reminder of the urgent need to take adolescent menstrual pain seriously and improve the support available to young people.

Acupuncture Ups Embryo Quality & Pregnancy Rates in IVF Patients

A randomized controlled trial has demonstrated that manual acupuncture significantly improves embryo quality, two-pronuclei (2PN) fertilization rates, and cumulative pregnancy outcomes in women aged 35 to 42 undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Conducted at the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the study also revealed key metabolic pathway changes in follicular fluid after acupuncture, highlighting retinol, glycine-serine-threonine, and glycerophospholipid metabolism as biological mechanisms of efficacy [1].

Acupuncture performed three times per week until hCG injection.
Clinical outcomes favored the acupuncture group. The 2PN fertilization rate was significantly higher in the acupuncture group at 61.9% (172/278) versus 46.4% (103/222) in controls (p = .001).
High-quality embryo rate also improved: 61.5% (91/148) versus 44.2% (38/86), p = .010. Most notably, the cumulative pregnancy rate per egg retrieval cycle reached 50.0% (14/28) in the acupuncture group compared to 18.2% (4/22) in controls (p = .042).

How can Korean acupuncture and Korean moxibustion therapy treat Restless legs syndrome(RLS) for pregnant women and help the baby's health and Mom's health?

This is the case of a 38-year old, pregnant woman in her 18th week of pregnancy who consulted my clinic on Feb. 16 and 18, 2025.

Patient’s chief complaint:
* uncontrollable and involuntary movement on her legs at night since the 4th week of pregnancy
* insomnia due to her symptoms.

Diagnosis:
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a condition that causes a very strong urge to move the legs. The urge to move usually is caused by an uncomfortable feeling in the legs. It typically happens in the evening or at night. Moving eases the discomfort for a short time.

Cause: UNKNOWN
Possible factors:
1. Genetics
2. Iron deficiency
3. Dopamine: RLS may be related to a problem with how the brain uses dopamine, a chemical that helps control muscle movement.
4. Medications: Certain medicines, such as antidepressants, anticonvulsants, antihistamines, and beta-blockers, may cause RLS.
5 . Other health conditions: RLS may be linked to other conditions, such as diabetes, kidney disease, anemia, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease.
6 . Pregnancy: About 1 in 5 pregnant women experience RLS symptoms.
7. Substance use: Excessive alcohol or caffeine, or ni****ne use, may make RLS worse.
8. Withdrawal: Withdrawing from certain drugs, such as antidepressants, sedatives, or vasodilators, may cause RLS.

Patient’s Management:
The patient said she has been taking vitamin B complex and has increased her iron supplement dosage as the doctor advised, but it didn’t help.
She still suffers from restless leg symptoms, causing sleepless nights that disrupt her daily life.
No other treatment was recommended. Hence, she decided to seek an alternative treatment.

Treatment:
* Combination treatment with Korean Acupuncture and Korean moxibustion in the overall body
1. To control overactive sympathetic nerves caused by stress and lack of sleep, which she has been experiencing from her job for a long time.
2. To manage the autonomic nervous system and vagus nerve.
3. To boost energy metabolism normally and homeostasis.
4. To promote all organs' function.
* Received 2 sessions (Feb. 16 and 18, 2025)

Reactions after 1 treatment:
1. My body immediately relaxed, and I felt very sleepy.
2. My body felt light, and my leg symptoms did not appear at all.
3. I slept well the night of the treatment and woke up the next morning feeling energetic.
4. My body and feet have become warm.
5. My baby moved a lot and felt strong.
6. I went to Ocean Park the day after the treatment with family for a whole day, but my leg symptoms did not appear.

Follow-up:
Checked the patient on March 26 2025, and she claimed that the symptoms never recurred since receiving the combo treatment.
The quality of her sleep improved as well.
Her baby is very healthy as well.
