👀 Not all “developmental” assessments are what they claim to be.

Some groups and individuals may claim to offer developmental evaluations (usually aggressively and at a much lower price) despite not being board-certified Developmental and Behavioral Pediatricians.

Before scheduling your child’s developmental assessment, take time to check your doctor’s credentials.

🔎 Your doctor should have DPSDBP or FPSDBP at the end of their name (e.g. Juan Dela Cruz, FPPS, FPSDBP) — this means that they are certified fellows of the Philippine Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

🏥 If your child is being assessed at a training hospital, it may be conducted by fellows-in-training — this is legal and valid.
