Bringing Services Closer to the People: A Day of Health and Hope in Barangay Aurora
Barangay Aurora in Pudtol, Apayao welcomed a day of compassion and commitment,December 12, 2025, as the Provincial Government of Apayao carried out another successful Serbisyo Caravanโa continuing initiative under the leadership of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. With the mission of bringing essential services straight to the communities, the caravan once again proved that public service truly has no boundaries.
In partnership with Amma Jadsac District Hospital, the caravan delivered a full suite of health services tailored to meet the needs of the people. Residents from all walks of life came early, filling the barangay grounds with hopeful faces and heartfelt gratitude.
Project Butzy, a flagship program designed to support primary care, growth and nutrition. Parents expressed relief and appreciation as their children received assessments, supplements, and counseling that could uplift their wellbeing and secure a healthier future.
The Eye Program also drew a significant crowd, especially the elderly who often travel far for consultations. Free visual assessments and reading glasses were provided, helping many regain clarity and comfortโsmall interventions that create big impacts on livelihood and daily living.
For young learners and adults alike, the Oral Health Program offered free dental check-ups, fluoride application, and hygiene education.
To complete the circle of care, the Laboratory Services team conducted essential tests and screenings through the Mobile PCF, that are often difficult for remote communities to access. Early detection, prevention, and timely medical advice became possible for many residents who previously faced barriers due to distance or cost.
Governor Bulutโs commitment to โbringing services right to every doorstepโ came alive in Barangay Aurora, where government workers, health professionals, and local leaders stood hand-in-hand to serve.
Indeed, in Apayao, public service travels farโbecause every yApayao matters.
